“We (a family of 5) spent 2 weeks in Villa Camaleon during February/March. The villa in nicely perched on top of a hill with stunning views over the mediterranean sea, the mountains and valleys. Although the weather weren't the best (rainy and cold most of the time) we had a wonderful stay, made exiting trips to Gibraltar and Granada, and were taken care of by Nina and James in the most caring manner. We definitely recommend this house, however bring warm clothes and prepare to use the fireplace...

“Perfekt ausgestattetes Ferienhaus in den Bergen mit herrlichem Ausblick auf das Meer. Das letzte Stück der Zufahrtstraße besteht aus unbefestigtem Feldweg, der eine vorsichtige Fahrweise erfordert. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen, gemütliche Abende auf der Terrasse verbracht und es uns an kühleren Abenden vor dem Pelletofen im Wohnzimmer gemütlich gemacht.”

Die Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern hat gut geklappt; leider konnten wir sie nicht kennenlernen. Nica hat sie aber gut vertreten! Die kurvigen Sträßlein zur Finca sind allerdings nichts für ängstliche Autofahrer!”

“A stunning property with spectacular scenery. The hamlet next to the villa had two superb restaurants within walking distance. Comares (the most beautiful village in Andalucia) was a short drive or a long pleasant walk away and had a large selection of very good bars and restaurants, plus some friendly local shops. With huge scope for visiting other tremendous locations in the area (e.g.El Chorro and Granada) not to forget the Mediterranean just 30 minutes drive away, we can thoroughly recommend...

“If you’re looking for peace and quiet this is a rural paradise. This, our first visit to Andalusia, was in the first two weeks in April 2024. Every day was sunny and we enjoyed daytime temperatures in excess of 25C. Temperatures at night were as low as 12C and some form of heating may be needed. The property is run by a young couple who are extremely helpful and friendly. During our stay they generously provided us with their locally produced olive oil, eggs from their hens and asparagus....

“When you pull into the driveway you feel like you have truly arrived in Spain. A truly Spanish Villa. 5 bedrooms all with their own ensuite. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the sun or shade. Stunning scenery. Hear the sheep being led down the hill with their bells. Sit on your balcony and enjoy your sunrise. Sit by the pool and stargaze after dark. Manuel the host is a lovley, helpful friendly man. We felt like he was a friend!! He even brought us a basket of his homegrown veg. Amazing sound...

“Imagine getting up at 8am, having a cup of tea/coffee at a swimming pool and watching how the Sun rises over a mountain. Or swimming in the night and seeing the stars and the lights of a town on a mountain's slope nearby. And if the peace and quiet is something you long for, this very villa is absolutely the place for you. We felt like the property hadn’t been totally prepared for us as no gas bottle for bbq, no pool towels, no logs for burner and no waste bags. We had to chase for instructions on how to get there. “Villa is in a great location if you want to experience rural Spanish life in a mountain setting. However that comes with a couple of kilometre drive along a hilly country road which is in part unmade. If hiring a car, something to consider. At times power and water are off line but nothing too drastic. Property could have been cleaner for our arrival and requires new pool chairs.
