A pair of sandhill cranes feeding in the wetland at Volo Bog. You have to stay on the boardwalk here which does not have handrails and runs through the heart of the bog. If you did fall off you would forever be a a part of the wetland.
A special place that is the only quaking bog in Illinois this wetland annually attracts big numbers of swans, ducks and sandhill cranes. We had a 10 inch snowstorm on Monday so I ventured out to see if I could locate any sandhills and while I observed many I was only able to get close to a couple of them. The call of a sandhill crane is something you will never forget once you hear it.

One of the cleanest rooms I've ever been in. Lovely staff, hearty free breakfast, nice amenities. Would definitely return. And Angel at the front desk is a doll!

Bra hotell och läge men lite slitet
Bodde en natt på detta hotell, relativt stort rum med bra säng och begränsad men gratis frukost. Nära IKEA, Woodfield mall och Schaumburg Convention center. Korridorer, rum och hissar är i behov av renovering.

Rooms and all areas were nice and cleaned. The only issue will be updating the pool area it was very gloomy and the ceiling needs some work. Overall I enjoyed my stay there.

We greatly enjoyed staying at this house. The host made it super easy in all areas. The house has an abundance of amenities from the kitchen to the entertainment room. Our large family (4 couple with children) had plenty of private space to enjoy which made it a successful gathering.
