Beautiful view, quiet, and relaxing stay
We loved our stay at Esther chalet. The view of whiteface cannot be beat. The yard was huge, great for playing with our dogs. We used the hottub, picnic table, and deck everyday, and even got to see the aurora borealis in the yard. We didn't get the chance to have a fire or use the sauna but I'm sure that would have been lovely. The house was very clean, and spacious. We did struggle to get a good night's rest due to the soft/sinky beds in the 2 king size rooms. We feel the addition of a pair of binoculars to the home would be a nice to view the local wildlife. Judi called around check in and a few hours after check out which was an appreciated personal touch.

Amazing location and property
We had such an incredible weekend up at this cabin for the full solar eclipse!🌒 Wow. The views out the back of the house are breathtaking and we really enjoyed sitting in the chairs by the fire pit and soaking in the hot tub. Judi was super easy to communicate with and the house was very clean. We'd definitely come back anytime, and hope to soon! Thank you for the lovely and relaxing visit!

Perfect Whiteface Ski Trip House
This property is ideal for a ski trip! Situated on beautiful land with a stunning view of Whiteface. Only minutes to the mountain and not far to Lake Placid town center either. Rustic feel but has everything you need. My group of 5 adults worked out very well space-wise. Hot tub was awesome to come home to after a day on the slopes. Loved the privacy — really felt like we stayed in the Adirondacks. Will definitely keep this property in mind for future trips!

Love this place!
My second stay at Esther Mountain Chalet was as lovely as my first. Secluded but not too remote, modern with a cabin vibe, clean and well kept, ownership is friendly and communicative but leaves you to do your thing, and that view of Whiteface! I’d be excited to return for a third trip.

Views that never get old
This is a terrific spot. If you’re looking to get away but not to far from activities then this is the place. It felt secluded so we had the privacy we wanted but in reality its only 15 minutes from town. The house is beautiful. It has an open floor plan and exposed beams in the ceiling. Every morning I’d sit in the hot tube and just stare at the whiteface mnts. Then I’d watch the sun set behind them each evening. It was so relaxing just to be there. The house to put it plainly is comfortable. We were lucky with the weather and had a great breeze coming through the screen doors so the house stayed pretty cool so there was no need for the ac. This is ridiculous but my favorite place to sit was the ginormous bean chair. So comfy. We barely left the house because it truly had everything we needed. The property is well kept and very open. Between the hot tube and the sauna and the views of the mountain we were in heaven. We’ll definitely be back.

Great view! Great house!
My family of four stayed at the Esther Mountain Chalet in early April. The check in process was easy and the house was great. It was a perfect size for our family. The house was on a very private lot, even though there was another rental next door, we couldn't see or hear them at all. The best part was the view from the deck. It was stunning. We loved it so much we spent more time at the house enjoying the nice weather and the view than we expected. The house was just a few minutes from Whiteface and 20 minutes from Lake Placid. We did drive 30 minutes to Saranac one of the rainy days. There wasn't much to do there during mud season (a lot of places close in April - we didn't know that until well after we booked the vacation) but the hikes, the house, and the shopping was a great reset and refresh for our family. It was just what we needed. If we visit the area again we will definitely stay here!

Comfortable with amazing view
We very much enjoyed our stay. The home was very comfortable and clean. Not sure which was better - sitting in the living room in front of the fireplace or sitting in the hot tub - looking out at a snow covered Whiteface. The yard was fun for playing in the snow. Great location- easy drive to all of the area’s activities.

Fun visit to play in the snow.
We came from the south to play in the snow with our young kids. The property was incredibly clean and communication with the owners was excellent. We had the most minor of issues with lamps and the caretaker came to fix it the next morning. I was very impressed. The hot tub is great. It is an easy twenty minute drive into Lake Placid and the roads are very well maintained(especially against our southern standards.) We would definitely stay again!

Beautiful getaway
The location was absolutely perfect -- we stayed in early September, just when it was starting to get colder at night, and sat in the hot tub every evening watching the stars. Lots of nature to see from the back deck, from Whiteface Mountain to cranes, deer, and a groundhog who came out at the same time everyday to snack on the vegetation in the yard. We also heard coyotes howling as we went to bed. The place had a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and was very clean. We would've stayed a second week if we could've! (Note: they are not joking about BYO everything -- be sure to stock up on toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, salt and pepper, dish soap, hand soap, etc., for your stay. Unfortunately, they do not save leftovers from the last guests, unlike your usual short-term rentals.)

Ester Mountain cabin family stay
The property was just as described and very comfortable. We were looking for a private location and this house was perfect. Because of the large open lawn area the bugs were very manageable. Great layout with bedrooms away from the living area. The view of Whiteface from the deck is breathtaking and the hot tub provides an amazing place to watch beautiful sunsets over the mountain. While we had no issues with the house, we did have a couple questions and the hosts were very responsive and very pleasant to deal with. As some of our party had to work at times during our visit, it was great to find a very good internet connection. While not a criticism of the property it is of note the there is no AT&T cell service in the area; Verizon did have cell service here.

Nice cabin. Quiet and secluded. There is a small wilderness area just up the road for snowshoeing and xc skiing. The sauna and hot tub were nice at the of the day. Both accommodated 3-4 adults comfortably. We had a good stay with friends.

Even better than we’d hoped
This place is fantastic - beautiful cabin, secluded, hot tub/sauna/fire pit are all awesome. The star of the show is the view of Whiteface straight out of the back yard. Pictures can’t do it justice. Owners Todd and Kim were great to work with. It’s pretty simple, don’t do anything stupid and leave the place as nice as you found it, and you’re good to go. No cameras or strange rules. I would definitely recommend any of their rental properties based on my experience with them. Would absolutely book again, and I hope to.

The Best
I've been renting with Todd and Kim for many years now and there is a great reason that I end up coming back to rent from them! They have lovely houses that are very clean, comfortable and if something is not working, they do their best to communicate with you to try and solve the problem. They also have gone out of their way on other visits to provide things that a house didn't have to make our stay better!! I like that this year, they have signage on things so it's easy to figure things out. I'll be back again! You both are the best!

Perfect Location
We only stayed three nights but had a wonderful time. The house is in a great spot for exploring the area. We spent time in Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and Paul Smiths. The backyard was the best - great views of the mountains and a relaxing fire pit overlooking a brook area with lots of interesting birds. You could not find a more private and quiet setting. And the hot tub was great too.

Perfect!!
So quiet and relaxing! Exactly what we were going for. Lots of great space for all of our kids and Luna (the pup) too. We used the large lawn to play bocce ball and the deck was great for our extra large jenga game. Woke up with coffee in the hot tub and ended the day with a glass of wine in the hot tub. I would love to rent again, maybe in the fall, as it probably is just breathtaking. Thank you so much for sharing your little piece of heaven with us!

Spectacular views, clean, comfortable home
Wow, this place really exceeded our expectations! The photos on the web do not do the property justice. The view overlooking the creek/marsh is wonderful, only to be outdone by the panorama featuring the ski area on Whiteface Mountain. The house was large and comfortable, and the kitchen contained everything we needed and new appliances throughout. Great sauna, hot tub, grill (bring charcoal), fire pit, and enormous yard. Lots of space for our group of 4 adults and 1 child -- we never used the 3rd bedroom. Surprisingly close to Lake Placid and wonderful hiking trails, and to the quaint village of Wilmington. We will be back!

The chalet was beautiful. We had a fantastic view of Whiteface. The house was huge and very clean. It had everything you need (cookware, extra towels and blankets). Todd was very friendly and helpful. The hot tub felt amazing after a long day hiking. The sauna warmed us up on colder days. I would definitely book here again. This is the best place I have stayed in the ADK!

Great way to spend Thanksgiving
What an amazing house with beautiful views. Todd was very helpful from the moment I inquired about the property answering all of my questions. House has everything you needed from appliances sheets to pre cut wood. So much to do without even getting in your car by close to Lake Placid Saranac Lake and let’s not forget Santa’s Village. Definitely will book with Todd next time we are in the area.

Perfect getaway
This home was so peaceful and beautiful. You are close to many beautiful hikes, our dog loved all the roaming. The home is quite spacious, with all the comforts (although a few extras like some coffee/teas, salt/ pepper etc would be nice) . The beds were comfy, views magnificent. The hot tub, sauna and fire pit are all extra pluses! We loved this place and would highly recommend it. Any questions you have are answered immediately.. thank you very much! Very nice cabin with quiet seclusion and outstanding views
My family and I enjoyed our long October weekend stay in your cabin. Its comfort and seclusion with gorgeous Fall foliage were so enjoyable. The short drive to nearby Lake Placid allowed trips to town for some dining and supplies. Family members made several hikes in the area. I enjoyed fishing on the river, too.
