Fabulous House on Beautiful Property
Nice kitchen! The patio was comfortable and the view from it was lovely. The living room furniture and the beds were comfortable. We had a relaxing, fun weekend.

Interesting
The property was beautiful. House was large and very roomy. My issue was that only 1/2 of the house had hot water. So this was difficult when you had 6 grown people sharing 1 shower. Yes, I was told that it would be fixed before our arrival. but we had to call again for someone to come look into it. No one ever showed up or returned my call. Also, at 1.30 am on Saturday music started playing in the main bedroom we could not find the source and had to call customer service to get this solved. All of the surround sound equipment was locked in a closet so I had to call in again to get the code to unlock the door as the music got louder. left everyone uncomfortable that night.

Very clean
This house looks just like its pictures. It’s the second year we stayed here for our annual reunion with our college friends. We have our reunion at a different house in the neighborhood so we mostly just sleep at the house. Our only complaint is that both of the king mattresses are rather lumpy. Overall this house is great for families :)

Great getaway
We stayed here for a short getaway with family. The location is great with a peaceful property. Deer were feeding in the front yard each night. The town of Wimberly is cute and just a 10-15 min drive. The house was clean and worked well for our family.

Quiet Getaway but Close to Everything
Enjoyed the seclusion and quiet of the property. Plenty of room and everything was well stocked (dishes, pots, etc). Close to Wimberley and only 1 1/2 hrs to Fredricksburg and 1 1/2 hrs to San Antonio. Excellent location for enjoying the Hill Country.

Girls weekend
A getaway weekend to catch-up with girlfriends 50+. The house is nice and big. We enjoyed the big patio & pool especially with the mid 90 Texas temperatures. One thing that can be improved is the bed size in the 2 full bed rooms. The beds seem smaller than true full and only comfortably sleep 2 smaller adults. Recommend upgrading to queen beds. Another is to advise keeping bedroom doors open at night to help with AC flow. It got hot with the doors closed.

Perfect House for a group
We had 7 people (4 adults, 3 teens) and had a lot of space in a comfortable home. The pool provided hours of entertainment, too. The management takes good care of you (plenty of amenities/toiletries, towels, etc...). Roaming cows throughout the neighborhood were the bonus we didn't know we were getting! Definitely recommend this house.

Great home, location and property! Everything was just about perfect. Pots and pans could be updated but I had read that in another post so brought some from home. Check out is also 10:00 a.m. I feel 11:00 would be good. The property management was slow to respond to questions. Other than that it was perfect. Yes I would stay here again.

House needs some TLC-VACASA is a joke
The house needs updating, The carpets in the bedrooms are isfilthy, the cookware needs to be replaced and the TV just needs to be simplified. On our first night we were able to use the direct tv once we switched to Netflix we were unable to return to tv. The pipes froze due to the weather so the hot water heater leaked once the water retuned.VACASA is a waste of time they said they would assist us and never called us back about the issues. For a fee we were offered late check out only to have the cleaning crew show up 2 hours before the late chec out so I guess they do not communiate with their team members.

Perfect Stay for Family Gatherings
When I first stumbled onto this property for rental it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch…additionally, a few of the reviews for this property were significant enough that they would have changed my mind to pass this one up, but I weighed my options and decided to invest in this rental because of the ability to accommodate more than 10 guests. It didn’t disappoint…everything was as perfect as it seemed online! My husband and I consider ourselves frequent travelers and have stayed at several rentals these past 3 years and would rate this property as one of the nicest, best located, and of real valued investment of all the places we have stayed. The home was clean, had everything we needed to feel at home for a 4-night stay. The management company kept in communication via email and cell phone messages (app) with us from the first day that we reserved the property, to the week of the stay, the day of check in, and upon check out. Their continued need to be accommodating in the event we were not satisfied with our stay was greatly appreciated. We will be staying again! Highly Recommended!

Perfect for family gatherings.
We gathered as family to celebrate an 80 th birthday. The house is spacious and in a private setting. The pool was clean! The kitchen needs to have some cleaning and update on utensils and dishes. We have stayed in many VRBOs. The entry sets the tone. Mailbox was open and piles and piles of mail sticking out. Street number sign was broken and had fallen over. Animal poop was on the entry way into the house. Garage door opener is broken. The property overall just feels neglected. It could be a top notch venue.

Amazing Property beautiful. Unfortunately our beds were dirty we had to wash the sheets before going to bed. Kitchen cooking ware needs to be changed it’s very old and Teflon not good. Dishwasher did not work. Would I stay again YES!! Outside swimming pool was great

Over Priced
My biggest gripe is the misrepresentation of beds. VRBO shows 2 king, 3 doubles 1 twin. Vacasa says 2 king, 4 doubles, and 1 twin. Neither stated the twin was over 1 double and the extra double on Vacasa was a pull out trundle under the double on the bottom of the bunk bed. Our 86 and 84 year-old mothers had no place to sleep. Beware of the cost in fees to rent a Vacasa property through VRBO. Total cost for 3 nights was $1980 and total cost of fees was &1500+. Place needed basic maintenance and pots and pans were dirty and in bad shape. One person described as deer camp quality. I agree. There were no kitchen towels, dish cloths, or hot pads. 1 new sponge was provided and 2 rolls pf paper towels. Glad I always travel with paper towels. Pool was great. Patio needed a good pressure washing and comfortable cushions to sit on plastic patio furniture. Probably won’t be back. I will look carefully at future rentals to be sure Vacasa is not involved.

Spacious
The house itself is amazing very spacious. The pool was an awesome addition for more summer fun. My only tip for others would be to bring your own pots and pans the ones there are pretty nasty. Other than that everything was great.

NEEDS UPDATING
Upon arriving, the master bedroom bed was broken, like half of it was falling down. My husband fixed it. Furniture is all very cheap and wobbly or falling apart. They boast about this surround sound speaker thing that is supposed to go all over the house and outside- well the closet you’re supposed to get it out of wouldn’t open. It has a keypad lock on it. None of the tv remotes had working batteries. All the dishes in the cupboard were oily like they hadn’t been washed properly. The definitely need more towels for this house. Light didn’t work in the pool. Patio furniture needs updating. It is very very uncomfortable. There was tons of dust in this house. It needs a good deep cleaning. The outside of the house needs pressure washing because it is quite disgusting. All of the flower beds were overgrown and needed attention. Toilets run constantly and kitchen sink drips non stop. The house lacks general upkeep and Overall I feel I paid too much for this house. Wildlife is neat. Had deer by the back gate everyday. Wouldn’t stay here again and wouldn’t recommend this property unfortunately.

Pretty house with nice views, but needs a lot of maintenance
We stayed for two nights. Since it was winter, we didn't use the pool, but definitely used the patio since the weather was nice. This house is in a beautiful setting in the Hill Country. It has so much potential. First and foremost, the furniture throughout the house needs replacing badly. The bunk bed furniture had major cracks in the wood, I was very worried it could possibly collapse. The kitchen and bar chairs were extremely rickety. The outdoor lounge chairs by the pool were broken. The cushions need to be replaced on the outdoor furniture and all the lightbulbs need replacing, except for one. If the owners would just do some routine maitenance, this could be a perfect get-away. The master bath shower was hard to figure out and didn't work very well. The toilet paper holders in several bathrooms were loose or falling off. Adding a large dining room table instead two different height tables so families could play games or eat together, adding a few chairs or loveseat for more seating in the family room (not enough) and warming up the stained concrete floors with an area rug and lastly, maybe adding a pool table, foosball table, horseshoes, corn hole or ping pong table to add a little extra for fun. I would definitely stay here again if these issues were tended to.

I was very disappointed with my overall experience at the house, while the place is beautiful it lacks easy access to the technology that is at the house. We lasted 7 days at the property and couldn’t even connect to the sound system to play music. The wine fridge the blender and the toaster did not work, I called several times about it and nothing was done about it. The pool has a heating system and it didn’t work, the patio furniture was dirty. The garbage cans were full all the time and we had to search for public dumpsters to throw out the garbage. I recommend doing some updates to the place and lower their prices.

Overall good experience but, there were lots of little issues; no batteries for any remotes, the outside furniture was filthy, fireplace was off limits The water when off unexpectedly while a guest was in the shower. The pool was dirty, we had to clean it. There was no drinking water available. Water didn’t work in refrigerator or in drinking water sink attachment and no ice. A little worn around the edges, pictures online over state the condition.

Property Needs Attention
Renting the property was easy… However the property need some serious attention and updating. The lawn on the property was not manicure properly, the grass needed cutting as it was very tall and weedy. We wasn’t able to access the property they the garage which caused us to pull our luggage thru the tall grass to the house. The handles on at least (2) toilets was very loose and wobbly in which one broke on our second day and we were unable to use it for the remainder of the trip. The handle on one of the sinks in the bathroom broke and we couldn’t access the hot water. The property is very nice just need some physical attention for the amount of money being charged to rent it.

Couples Retreat
The property is a in a nice quiet place close to wineries and other sites to visit. The house is very clean and spacious. The description in the listing is accurate EXCEPT when it comes to the size of the beds. The queen beds are actually doubles! If you need queen sized beds this is not the place to stay. The remotes to the televisions need labeling and instructions. It was hard to get volume and the bedroom tv did not have a remote.

The inside of the house was very clean and spacious however, here are things that need improving on for the PRICE YOU PAY. 1. The pots and pans in the kitchen are terrific, looks like what guys would take to deer camps. Luckily we brought some of our own. The hand can opener didn't work so we couldn't open any cans and didn't want to make a 7 mile trip back to town. You have to bring all of you own spices, etc. Plenty of plates, cups, utensils, bowls, etc. Great coffee pot - Keurig. 2. The bed in the master bedroom was too high to get into -- 42" to top of mattress. The average adult can't get into it. My husband was 6 foot so he was okay. I was the tallest of the ladies at 5'7" and I had to climb on the bench at foot of bed to get into it. My husband is 73 and I'm 70. 3. Also there are 4 double bed -- 2 average adult can't sleep in a double bed so we spread out. The two double beds in the separate bedrooms need to be converted to aleast queen. We were 7 adults and 2 kids according to their age brackets. However, our 2 kids were high school age and were like an average adult. 4. The one bedroom had a bunk bed with double on the bottom, twin on top and then a double trundle pulled out from under the bunk. When you did that there was no space in that room to walk or put luggage.-- all closets are locked so you can't hang up any clothes. 5. We loved the patio and pool -- the pool was very clean but the floor of the patio needs a really good power washing job. There was a big area by the back door that looked like black mold. Also the cushion covers on the patio furniture need to be washed. 6. If you have bad allergies, this is not the place for you. You are totally surrounded by cedar. You travel about 3 miles off the main highway into areas that once was and still is pasture area with lots of cedar. There are quite a few houses along the 3 miles but nothing too close to this property. One day we had cows in the front yard. We did enjoy watching the deer that came up to the back fence each morning and evening. 7. The TV system in the house is very complicated and there needs to be additional instructions in the living room on how to get the TV going. We finally just used it for Netflixes ! 8. We enjoyed our family gathering but had to adjust to the issues above . We spent most of our time outside in the pool. 9. Someone besides cleaning people, needs to check these things on a monthly basis.

We celebrated my father in laws 75th birthday here. The pool was a bit hit with my two kiddos. The property and layout of the house was perfect for multiple adults. You can tell they did a deep clean prior to our arrival and everything was in order for our stay.

Great house but the sheets weren't clean
House was beautiful, and we were very comfortable there. Kitchen could use some new silverware and plates, but overall it was not too bad. However finding dirty sheets and having to do wash on the first of our 2 nights there definitely put a damper on our trip. We found at least 7 different kinds of hair all over the master bedroom sheets. They definitely were not washed before we checked in. There was a really lot of dog hair and several different kinds of human hair... we weren't comfortable sleeping on dirty sheets, so we couldn't go to sleep until we did the wash. No one wants to sleep on dirty sheets and it made us wonder how often the comforters were cleaned. There were also little sticker burrs stuck to the blanket on the bottom bunk that scratched up one of my boys when he was trying to get under the covers. Not a huge deal, because those little things stick to everything, but again we were left wondering when the last time that the blankets and comforters were washed. Note that only the back yard of this property is fenced if you are bringing your dogs. Why am I leaving a less than favorable review? I was in contact with the property manager about the dirty bed linens but I never heard back. Considering the price we paid per night was more than hotels in the area, we were expecting to have clean bed linens. The property manager said she would follow up with me, but I never heard back after we checked out.

Great backyard, nice location
The house itself is in a great location less than 10min drive to downtown Wimberley. Very secluded location with a great backyard, swimming pool and gas grill. The house itself could’ve been much cleaner. There was a lot of dust all over the house and underneath beds and corners looked like they haven’t been cleaned in a long time. Kitchen was perfect and very well equipped which made cooking and eating very easy. The living room and dining area also very nice but the king size mattresses were lumpy and uncomfortable. With a bit of upgrading, could be the perfect house.

2020 Christmas Vacation
The house suited our large family well and the neighborhood was nice, but the home wasn’t very well appointed. The walls were nearly bare, there were no throw pillows on the meager living room furniture, one broken barstool, no blankets on the beds and the carpet in the master bedroom was extremely dirty. We have stayed in a lot of properties and typically are welcomed with a book containing instructions and general information about the house including some local activities in the area. Nothing of the sort was provided. The hot water was off upon arrival (thank goodness we had a plumber in the group), the garage door wouldn’t open, the can opener and toaster didn’t work properly, there were 3 coffee cups and no full size glasses in the kitchen and no cleaners provided to clean the kitchen countertops. We are not ones to complain and have never left a bad review, but overall this home did not meet our expectations considering the amount of money we paid. We still enjoyed our Christmas with our family despite the lack of accommodations. In fact it became an ongoing joke during our stay.

Wasted Opportunity
The location, size of the home and access to the private pool were wonderful but the decor has no theme and the walls need a paint job bad. Half the light bulbs on the property were out and some of the clean dishes were dirty. A paint job and interior decorator would make you feel better about how much it costs per night. Also don't twist an ankle on your way to the front door. Deer on the property in the mornings is a plus though.

Charming Hill Country Getaway
The house was just lovely with plenty of space, great kitchen for cooking and gathering and and comfortable furniture. The property is tucked away back from the (not very busy) road. The fenced in backyard was a big plus for our two dogs who had plenty of space to run, play and bark at the deer and cows when they passed by. The covered patio overlooking the pool was perfect for morning coffee and evening cocktails. I highly recommend this property - it would be perfect for families with kids - older and younger or would also easily accommodate 3 or 4 couples. The TWO master bedrooms with adjoining baths are a great feature as well.

Our extended family of nine (including kids 3, 8 & 9) enjoyed a week at this property. Overall, it was a positive experience, and the kids loved having so much space to run around and play. We also enjoyed some day trips to Blue Hole (be sure to make reservations early!) and Comal Park on Canyon Lake. Pros: *Great floor plan and plenty of space for everyone for sleeping and meal time *Loved the surroundings and daily visits by deer and cows, and spectacular views of the night sky *Really enjoyed the outdoor patio and pool area - it was a relaxing oasis *Property management responsive to issues that came up during stay including the propane tank needing to be refilled (impacted hot water and stove) and the pool needing to be cleaned Cons: *The house is in desperate need of a deep clean. Although it was cleaned before we arrived, there was dirt and grime throughout to the point where we had to clean it again to feel comfortable *The house has great potential, but in need of multiple repairs - broken towel rack in a bathroom, multiple lights and TVs not working, patio furniture cushions need replacing, hole in the wall of one of the bedrooms, etc. *The kitchen cookware was in bad shape and many pieces missing. *Wifi access was unreliable and slow, making working there challenging *Pool was not clean upon our arrival and required three trips from maintenance and pool cleaning company over the course of the week to get it in good shape. While I would not call this property “luxury,” it did meet our needs.

Long weekend get away
We enjoyed our stay but there were some hiccups along the way. The property manager had communicated with me a couple of hours before check in that that pool cleaner was broken from the previous stay and let us know we could use the net to clean any leaves that had fallen into the pool, which was fine. However, when we got there the pool was very cloudy, to the point we did not feel comfortable getting into the pool. I communicated this with the property manager, and she had someone come and take care of this that same day. We were informed that the pool needed to be filled with more water, which meant the water inside the house was not working for a period of time. We did get there about 30 minutes early and the woman cleaning the house was still working. We did not mind waiting outside at all though. Throughout our stay we did notice things in the house were not entirely clean. For example, hair clips were on the night stand, it appeared there was dog hair on my bed, the silverware drawer smelled very odd (we ended up running the dishwasher with the silverware in it as soon as we got a whiff of the drawer), there was a bag of clothes in the hallway, and the trash outside the driveway had not been picked up, so there was trash everywhere from animals picking through it. I don't know think the cleanliness was the housekeepers fault. It sounded as though the house was used by another family hours before. It was just one lady who was to clean the whole house. We still had a very fun family weekend. We were able to enjoy the pool the rest of our stay. The house is nice and beautiful animals come by which was a pleasant surprise.

Nice house for a staycation
We went out to Wimberly to be able to have the kids swim and just have a little break from our house. The pool is great - and my kids loved it. The house has plenty of space for larger families or groups, and we loved waking up to cows on the land around the house. The house could use a couple upgrades/updates to really be called "luxury" - there were tons of knives, but they weren't very sharp; the cushions on the great couch by the pool need to be deep-cleaned; only one TV worked - and we could only get netflix on it; and it would be awesome to have a table that sat more than 6. For a weekend away, it fit the bill perfectly.

Great except for wifi connection
The house is terrific, really, our only issue was that I had planned to come down from Austin to work there while the kids played-- and the connection is so weak that it was simply not possible. I had to commute back and forth to our own home just to get a connection to be able to work. (This is during coronavirus time-- everything else is closed, no coffee shop or restaurant nearby would work either!) If this is an issue for you-- just know that the connection is good enough to pull up a web page if you need to, or read something simple, or even watch a YouTube video with some choppy unpredictability. But if you need to have a steady connection at all-- this is not for you.

Great wedding with family
Had a wonderful stay at the house. Very clean and large space for family to not get in one another way yet perfect when meeting together for dinner. One suggestion is to make sure you read the online check in notes. The gas BBQ grill was empty for the night we wanted to use it. We made due with the oven in the kitchen. Randomly reading the check in, there was mention to check the gas before check in. No worries, we made. do and it did not impact our stay. The grounds were wonderful and the drive in meet with livestock, wild deer, and a scorpion :). Highly recommend the house..... it was great.

Family Celebration
My family and I gathered to celebrate my grand daughters 8th birthday. This location offered the space and proximity for the attendees that came from Austin, Houston, Dallas, and San Angelo. There was plenty of space, the pool offered a great respite from the heat and the deer and cows provided wonderful entertainment for the kids and the dogs.

River Mtn Retreat
The house was beautiful, with a nicely furnished and ideal layout for our group of 7 adults, two youngsters and a 2 yr old. All the bedrooms were very nice though some guests might prefer queen size beds in those bedrooms with a double bed. The large, spacious kitchen dining area was well designed for lots of people in the kitchen. Outside was a beautiful pool with a large, comfortable covered patio. Minor annoyances were an empty propane tank and another almost empty one which caused me to lake a last minute run to buy a full replacement while grilling steaks. Also, it seems silly to have only two small dish towels and no dish clothes for washing dishes, wiping counters, etc. there was one sponge.

Made Memories
Enjoyed everything about this house! Kids loved the pool, the deer, the outdoors, BBQ, and games. Will remember this vacation getaway for years. Will definitely come back. We made memories. We loved the drive into the neighborhood as well. There is just too much to say about this house. Wish we could of stayed longer.

Nice Place
This house was exactly what we were expecting and was perfect for our family. I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 as the backyard was not mowed and there was trash in it from the previous renters, also the beds were so uncomfortable it was like sleeping in a hole and when you moved it was like a waterbed.
