“We had absolutely no heating. I tried several times to contact the owner by email, messenger and by phoning her. No reply. I had been in contact with her regarding check in via email and messenger, I even sent a photo of the temperature in the house. 10 degrees. I had to source 2 radiators myself, which a kind neighbour lent us. I would like a refund for our inconvenience ”

“I am not sure where to begin, but our stay at the Victorian Lodge in Windsor was absolutely amazing. Hamish was a wonderful host, and we could've stayed forever. There is something special about being in the English countryside, and our stay at the Lodge almost felt like we were inside of a storybook. If you want to be close to London/Windsor, but away from the crowds and the noise, you will not regret staying here. We had no issues getting food delivered, or getting rides to/from the lodge....

“The property itself was well located, quiet and comfortable. Unfortunately we received no check-in information until 3.45pm on the day of check-in, 45 mins AFTER the check-in time and despite multiple attempts to contact the owner/manager in the days before and on the day of check-in, via the email address and phone number provided. The lack of response was extremely stressful.”

“Booked 3 nights for my daughters 50th birthday. We fortunately had the sunniest and warmest days of the year, so the younger ones were able to use the heated pool and jacuzzi. House very well appointed and equipped. The gardens are large and the rear extends down to the Thames where there is seating to watch the boats go by. Due to the good weather, we decided to utilise the house and garden to the fullest, which meant that BBQ's and pizzas were the order of our evening meals. I can thoroughly...

“There is no parking at the property. It’s pot luck on roads around the property!! I received a parking ticket during my stay having specifically booked because the listing said parking. The beds were really comfortable, but some of the cleanliness and condition of things was questionable. There’s also a really noisy neighbour who blares television through the wall until 12pm. Shame, it had so much potential.”
