“We came to Matlock with the kids and grandkids from Canada, to show them their roots! The house was just perfect. A perfect spot for family and friends to visit, and we were within walking distance of shops, pubs, and a park. Daniel was very quick to answer any questions we had. We had an amazing time, and it was hard to leave!”

“The house is clean and comfortable on the inside. Outside ally that ran alongside the house had big bins which had rubbish overflowing and spreading across the path. Comms with owner none existent other then a couple of automated messages once I had paid. Not enough towels within the property for all guests no hot water for washing up asked for assistance from owner message never acknowledged. “Great communication from owner before & after stay. property was clean, but tired in places. We were heading to Alton Towers so was a perfectly good place for 1 night at a reasonable price. ”

Separate toilet v helpful for a family with teenage girl IYKYK. Freshly laid eggs available nearby. Would love to return sometime soon. ”

“Our stay was amazing The Chapel was in a beautiful location, a 2 min walk to the local pub and excellent for walks. Th hosts were very accommodating with a sample of some local treats , wine and beer. We will definitely stay again and would fully recommend ”

“We loved staying in Charlie’s property. It was very clean and well maintained and was a gem. Parking was tricky round the back but plenty of on street parking was available. A few trips down the hill into town certainly built the glutes on the return up the hill! Highly recommend Stones restaurant and Sourdough Dave’s bakery for bread in the morning. Matlock is a lovely town and well positioned for walking (Dovedale, Edale, etc all within 30mins) or visiting Bakewell or Chatsworth House.Perfect...

“Clovelly Court is well placed and Nightingale House was well appointed with a great lay-out for 6 adults sharing. We were in the area for a wedding so the location was great and we loved that the property is walking distance from a superb and quirky pub, a fabulous coffee shop, pharmacy, and Sainsbury. “We loved our stay in Wirksworth. Such a lovely area for walking and cycling which we were after. The cottage was lovely. Very comfy beds, great sofa and fab log burner. Kitchen has everything you need. The shower is definitely small as the listing says. However i dont thjnk i realised how small - we managed (just) but this is the only negative in an other wise lovely stay. The village is also great, again with everything you need in terms of variety of places to eat and drink.”
