The Amman Citadel is a historical site in Amman. The Citadel is considered an important site because it has had a long history of occupation by many great civilizations. Most of the buildings still visible at the site are from the Roman, Byzantine, and Umayyad periods. The major buildings at the site are the Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church, and the Umayyad Palace.
#lksawaydays in Jordan visited the famous 2nd century Roman Amphitheatre in Amman. The theatre was build during the reign of Pius and can seat 6000 people. We stretched our legs and headed for the top! Also there are two small museums here both are worth popping into

I had a good stay here on my last night in Jordan. The location is perfect to see the main sights. I wish I had 2 days there actually. The room was clean and the wifi was good. No complaints except maybe the smoke smell in hallways. The staff were friendly though.

Nice oasis in busy area
Very nice hotel with comfy breakfast restaurant. Most staff was very nice but the night receptionist didn't seem to like non-religiously dressed women much and was quite rude. Otherwise it's a nice calm oasis in a very busy and noisy area.

Room was fine although a bit worn. But spacious and worked well for us. The location is central with walking distance to most things you need and want to see. Lots of options for eating around.
