Pros: Location is good, communication with the operator is good. Cons: 1. The unit is a little bit small for eight people; 2. The bathroom is too small, it is difficult to turn around in the shower cubicle. 3. It will be better for the owner to replace the sofa and beds.

The photos don't really represent the property. It's very tired looking. It sleeps 8 but there's only a sofa for 3 people. There is a dining table but there are 6 flimsy chairs and some of them are held together by tape. The living area is very small. The air conditioning did not work in one bedroom. Our bathroom was so tiny my husband could barely get in the shower. The other bathrooms door was broken. It was off its rail and there was a nail sticking out. In the other bathroom the door did not close properly so you couldn't use it at all. The owner sends a nice generic email to you about the area and the property but when you ask questions, he refers you to his property manager Carlos. I messaged him and didnt hear from him for 2 days and had to chase the owner again. We confirmed what time we would be landing and Carlos messaged as we did. He then said he would head to the apartment to be there for our arrival. However, we had not yet got luggage or met up with our friends, or got in the taxi. He became impatient with us and decided to leave the apartment and insist we go to his apartment to pick up the key. So we were not only exhausted having flown in from toronto via casablanca but very disappointed. We had to try and explain to our Spanish taxi driver why we weren't all getting out of the car. We had let carlos know we were 2 mins away and he still kept us waiting in a taxi we were paying for. When we did get to the apartment he had only put AC on in the main room.

BARCELONA APARTMENT

My family enjoyed our stay in Barcelona. Many restaurants and markets close by. The distance to some major tourist attractions is within reason. Mark responds to texts pretty quick. Could use some written instructions on how to use the washing machine and dryer. Thankful for YouTube.

Very good location and friendly host

Our host was very lovely and accommodated our requests for check-in time and a crib for the baby. Location was good walking distance. We were only staying for 1 night and the next morning, 2 members awoke with bites all over their bodies. Unsure if there are bedbugs or mosquito bites from our excursions.

Great Barcelona Location

Our host, Mark, was very pleasant, kind, and helpful. He quickly responded to all communications prior to our stay. Mark was nice enough to meet us early and let us drop off our luggage early. Rooms were smallish but adequate but the location was in a safe upscaled neighborhood in central Barcelona. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Great neighborhood

The host, Mark, was very accessible. He immediately answered when we had blown a fuse. The flat was clean and well kept for an older building. The neighborhood had every thing we needed and was easy to access with public transportation. Sant Antoni area is off the usual tourist areas. So it is a much quieter stay, yet easy to get to the tourist spots.

Barcelona stay

Place was as described. Clean, easy and flexible host who allowed us to check in slightly earlier. Quiet location with exception of construction one day of stay. Walk about a little more than a mile to most locations. Taxi stand across the street and train a block away. It was definitely worth the price for a low key holiday!!!!!
