We stayed here 1 year ago and it was great & staff was amazing. Once we arrived for this stay we were notified they had a new owners. All different staff. Breakfast was served next door at Oceans in a closed off room for lotus guests only. Took over an hour for breakfast that wasn’t good. We never went back. We really enjoyed eating our breakfast outside at the lotus. Rooms were not that clean this stay. Bagged Trash stayed outside our room for a couple days. Last year it was busy. This trip was not that many people using the beach club. We definitely noticed a change from last year. We have barest decided to try another place our next trip. The best part is the view and its location,

This is our second time staying at the Lotus, we love the location, the proximity to downtown, the beach, the staff is amazing, Thomas and Fernando remembered us from last time and were amazing as always, this is an amazing, quiet, beautiful place to stay if you’re on the island.

Gross! Bugs and dirty toilet paper!

DO NOT STAY HERE if you’re looking for any kind of decent treatment and room. Bugs in the room, you’ll be told to throw your used toilet paper in the trash can, no decent internet and no TV option through hotel. It’s in a sketchy area at the far, cheap end of the island and security is lax. Our “ocean view” room was a joke barely could see the water. Just an old bridge and trees right in front. 😕 Everything closes at the hotel at 6pm and the included breakfast is a block away at another hotel. The plunge pool on the patio is a like warm bathroom filled with old water and leaves/dirt. They advertise shuttle service from the airport. Also false. You’ll pay and arrange it and the ferry yourself. Adults only? They served small kids food and drinks on the beach from the hotel. The beach area is totally public and includes 5 hard chairs. We reserved for 5 days and left after 2 to go to a REAL hotel that doesn’t falsely advertise and is clean.

I don’t think I can say enough good things about this resort, not only is it on the most beautiful beach in Isla Mujeres but it’s still tucked off where it feels secluded and quiet, the staff was amazing Karen who works the front desk during the day, went out of her way to help us with spa treatments, recommendations, and was really such a pleasure to be around, she was very personable and you could tell she loved what she did and she was happy to help in anyway she could, the Lotus was also walking distance to amazing food and shopping, the staff was amazing, our room was beautiful, and we already booked our next stay, couldn’t recommend this place more.

This is the beach you want to be at. The bar side pool, the vibe, the food, the beach, the beachside beds, and staff bringing you food and cocktails all day. A tru place to lounge and relax. Very attentive staff. Location, location. I've been to 10 different places on Isla Mujeres. this is our 4th time back to this particular spot.

The Little Lotus

The Lotus is a great little place on the best beach in Isla Mujeres. Staff is extraordinarily accomodating, friendly and helpful with any needs. Would reccomend the plunge pool rooms. Great patio and the pool overlooks the beach. Place is very quiet in the morning and evening. Rooms were clean and AC works great. Close to Centro to walk but far enough you dont get the noise.

From the moment we walked in and were greeted by name, we felt at home at Lotus for the week! The accommodations are beautiful and clean. The location is HEAVEN and the staff are kind, funny, notice little details and are incredibly accommodating. We’re already planning our next trip back.

We loved our stay at Lotus Beach Hotel! A few highlights: the beach is steps away from their amazing beach club, Guru Beach Club; the staff is attentive and accommodating (shout out to Karen and Martha); the hotel is small and adults only so it’s pretty quiet and a great place to unwind; easy to access food and bars nearby. Liked, convenient to the beach. Loved the staff at the restaurant. Disliked, you couldn't access the beach from your room, pictures are deceiving, it's about an 8-foot drop. Didn't use the pool, wasn't cleaned everyday, patio in the shade and pool was cold. Disliked, the room smelled like urine in one corner, had house-keeping remove a jute rug and mop the tile, it didn't help.

The property was beautiful, well kept, and the rooms nicely decorated. We have a ground floor suite with private terrace and pool overlooking the beach and ocean. Unfortunately there was unplanned construction happening above our terrace so it was unusable for a couple of days - the management team was quick to respond to our concerns and provided adequate compensation, take great care of our needs. The beach club and pool were immaculate, a wonderful place to relax. Great DJ on Fridays and Saturdays. Menu prices are expensive, but the food is top notch and well portioned - on par with most of the restaurants on the island. Great location, right on Playa Norte, and within walking distance to all the downtown shops, cafes and bars. My only complaint is the unnecessarily large MIA hotel across the water that obstructs the view of the sea for most of the beach front rooms.

Beauty boutique hotel o the prettiest beach on the island. Easy to walk to anything you need. The staff was amazing! They knew your name by literally the first day. Very accommodating of their guests. Food was delicious with beautiful presentation. Prices were good for alcohol and food. Our room was very large and nice. We had the one with the pool. We are already planning a return trip. Highly recommend this place!

Amazing hotel and service, food is TOP NOTCH

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at Lotus. From being greeted by the Manager, to the wait staff, to the housekeeping, every part of our stay was perfect. We were aways attentively served, and warmly welcomed. The breakfast was perfect, the location is absolutely amazing, the hotel and beach club are absolutely top notch, and the food here is the best we have had on all of othe island, and this was our 8th trip to Isla Mujeres. We can't wait to return. Thanks to Lotus for making our trip such a memorable one!
