The location was what we prioritized with this trip and it was nice and close to the beach access. The house, however, left much to be desired. The third bedroom on the top floor was a loft style with no door. This was quite challenging having a 2 year old dealing with noise levels and not being able to safely enclose her as she slept before we came to bed. The bedrooms were all very small, some without dressers and closets which left no way to organize our belongings or a place to put our daughter’s toddler blow-up mattress. Additionally, the beds didn’t have sheets on them when we arrived nor trash bags in the top level trash cans. The quality of the towels were great but the sheets were worse than hospital sheets in my opinion. Again, location was everything but for next year we will find a house that better matches our needs.

Quiet Vacation

This is our second time staying at this house. If you're not in good shape or have knee issues, there are 5 sets or stairs here, so take note. We love this place though, and the fact that it's at the end of a road so there is less traffic. The kitchen supplies could use some updating. There were no decent pots and pans, so we bought a blue set that has ceramic coating. We left the set for everyone else to enjoy, so please wash by hand so the ceramic coating lasts. The views are great and the neighborhood is quiet. Beach access is right across the street, which we also love.

Major Issues

*Husband had to hammer in many nails around the exterior of the property. *Dirty vents/filters throughout the whole house. *Dirt in and under furniture. *Dirt on walls and door frames. *Vacumm cleaner was broken. *AC was leaking. *Floor under AC was extremely rotted. *Ceiling (drywall) in downstairs bedroom falling down because of leak from AC. *Light under microwave was out. *Toilet seats were loose. *Threshold in garage was broken and husband had to fit it. *Husband got finger caught in between the garage door panels trying to close it because it slammed down on him. *Shower know in downstairs bathroom is stuck making in unable to turn into a bath. *Outdoor shower is broken.

Great location but Dirty

This rental has so much potential. The location is fantastic with easy beach access, quick drive to shopping and dining as well as being located in a quiet dead end street. This spot on the beach was much less crowded than other nearby areas due to its location. Unfortunately, the condo was very dirty. We had to clean several areas ourselves when we arrived.

Almost heaven - Emerald Isle

LOVED: the fantastic location, super clean floors and counter tops, well equipped kitchen, and decks with views of ocean. HAD ISSUE WITH: hairy/linty walls near the vents; we cleaned the bugs out of the light fixtures, lots of dust bunnies under beds, three roaches.

Perfect Getaway

This property was in the perfect location for our family. Our main goal on this trip was to enjoy the beach, and being so close to it with access point right at the end of the driveway was amazing. The house had everything we needed the only thing I would suggest would for there to be some improvement on the cleaning before possession. There were some areas that you could tell have not seen cleaning attention (under beds, in furniture). However, any issues we did have they were very quick to respond and do what they could to help! We would love to Come back again!

Location, location, location

This beach home was within walking steps to the beach! In addition, it was several blocks away from the main public beach access, so crowds were minimal. In the evening, it was nice listening to the waves crash, the home is that close to the beach. The main bedroom is located on the 3rd floor ( loft area), and the main dining and living area separates it from the first floor bedrooms. Overall, a classic beach home in a great location!

Awesome location, close to everything!

This was a great house with easy access to the beach, shopping, and dining. All of which can be reached easily in a car, bike or even on foot! The house was well appointed. The washing machine was great and easily accessible! (some homes we have rented the are in garage areas or away from the living areas making laundry even more of a chore) The master bedroom had lovely views and the master bathroom was quite nice with a large shower. It felt like a retreat up in the third level of the home. That level is a loft and is partially open to the main living level. The only real con for this home is the stairs. It has two very narrow turned staircases (where the stairs are wedge shaped) which becomes quite challenging when your hands are full of luggage or groceries. Also this is something to note for older renters and renters with toddlers as it could make for a very challenging stay. Overall we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this awesome EI home!!!
