Frozen sea at the mouth of Loch Eyre Just at the mouth of Loch Eyre where it joins Loch Snizort Beag, thin sheets of ice pile up on the shore as the tide flows out of the loch.

Dun Eyre There is not a lot of the structure of the dun left to be seen, though there is no doubting the remains. It sat on top of this eminence, about 150m above Loch Eyre. The eminence itself is about 5m above the surrounding land. This view is looking up to the site with a double row of boulders marking the approach to the fort.

Calm and nice place.
Had a very pleasent stay. It was in a calm and nice place. But you really need to have a car to drive around. The closest restaurant are in the town Portree. But it only takes about 12 minutes of driving. Also close to Fairy Glen, wich was amazing. Nice clean rooms and a lounge with an amazing view ...

Lorraine was super responsive and even left a lovely note for us upon arrival. The home was so cozy and just wonderful!! No issues at all and would definitely stay here again when we come back to Scotland.
