3.5 rounded down because this is marketed as a luxury vacation home and it’s more of a lipstick on a pig situation.Pros: nice neighborhood for Fort Lauderdale, liked having a pool and hot tub, liked having a fire pit, cool to be on the canal and watch boats go by. Cons: partially renovated, dirty walls, dirty furniture, dirty showers with awkward shower head angles, needed a deep clean. We slept in cheap microfiber sheets with a fuzzy blanket on top, no duvet or comforter. There was maybe 12 thin scratchy towels for 16 guests for a week stay. When I asked for more towels I was told there was tons and to just look around and that they also had pool towels. The pool towels looked like they were just towels that had been left behind by prior guests. Rather than argue for more we just bought towels. The pull out couch upstairs is completely broken. You are instructed to turn the pool and hot tub off at night so the pool never gets that warm, also can only heat 1 at a time.FYIs (didn’t dock points for these)You will need to drive to the beach if you want to visit it. Not close enough to walk. You aren’t facing the main canal, rather just a side so not many boats will drive directly past you. However, the house is only a few houses down from the main canal so you will see quite a few boats going that way.If you have kids - There is no railing towards the canal.
