Inclement weather, did not use pool or spa but once but having to contact the owner to turn on the spa or heaters is a pain. Photos of canal, dock and boat were deceiving. Kitchen cabinets and drawers need to be purged of old and open food containers and then the house needs to be sprayed for bugs. The master bath has a problem with getting any hot water in the sink or shower.

There were cockroaches and other bugs in the kitchen. They were probably attracted by the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen being full of food and crumbs. We had to kill multiple bugs every time we used the kitchen. There were loose hairs in the few bathroom drawers that had been emptied. They only emptied out a small section of one closet in the master bedroom. I’ve never stayed anywhere that just had so much of the owner’s personal property everywhere. There was a remote to turn on the heater for the pool and hot tub but it didn’t work. So we had to decide on a schedule of what hours we wanted the pool heater on versus the hot tub. The pool and hot tub couldn’t both be used at the same time. The temperature the hosts set the pool to was not warm enough for a baby, or really any of us. They also wanted to charge us extra to heat the pool to a usable temperature, but did back down on that. This is NOT a four bedroom house. The “loft” was an attic accessed by a pull down ladder with no window. It would NOT be a safe place for someone to sleep. We rented the pontoon as well and it did not have a canopy for shade. One of the beds was extremely creaky, making noise with the smallest movement. The couch needs to be replaced it had no cushioning left. On New Year’s Eve the neighbors set off firecrackers that sounded like bombs in the street right in front of the house and blared loud music for at least 5 hours.

Amazing waterfront property

Nikki and Kevin are amazing hosts. The communication prior to arrival and during our stay was unbelievable!!! The house is amazing!! We were a party of 8 and the property was spacious. The house is located within 15-20 of the Fort Lauderdale airport and/or cruise port depending on the time of day. We also rented the pontoon boat which is in the backyard right on the water. We had such a great time. Thank you again Nikki and Kevin!

Huge kitchen!

Family and friends gathered at this house over NYE. We booked the house based on # of bedrooms, huge kitchen and home location. We were a bit confused as the loft was more like a bonus room. Huge and fun but no bed was in there. The kitchen was awesome! Pool and hot tub great! Beds and pillows all comfy. Owners were outstanding in communication and checking in to see if we needed anything. Need a ginormous well equipped kitchen, pool and hot tub and relaxing outdoor space? This is the home for you!

Awesome large group house in FLL

Great and beautiful House! Close to las olas for night life and amazing amenities at house with multiple tvs and space for large groups! Everyone in my group loved the layout and space for 8 adults and perfect for football watching and hanging out! Host were awesome and fast responding. They provide everything needed. Will be back!!

Florida living at its finest.

This was a Marine Corps reunion. We all get together ever other year. This time was my time to host the Marines. The house was super clean and modern. The owners communicated and responded fast. The whole process was effortless and easy to follow the rules. Definitely recommend staying here. 5 stars across the boards. Thank you two for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful house.

Spring Break Fun

This house was amazing! We were there for our son’s spring break and are considering going back with friends for an adult trip! It is in a great location and close to everything we wanted to do. The house layout was perfect for cooking, lounging, and relaxing! I spent most of my time near the pool area completely content. It’s on a canal with neighbors but very private and quiet. This house has everything you need and is just like being at home. Kevin and Nikki are very easy to get in touch with. They were available to answer questions about the house and recommended several amazing restaurants. They checked in several times to make sure we were having fun! We highly recommend spending your vacation at this house!

Many Great Things

We had a fantastic stay at the VRBO property. The hosts were exceptional. They were great at communicating and flexible with our plans. The house had a fantastic outdoor space and the pool and hot tub were impeccably clean. The only drawback was the fourth bedroom, referred to as a loft but more accurately an attic, which was a bit less appealing for sleeping. Nevertheless, overall, it was a wonderful experience with clean and well-maintained amenities.

Easter weekend

We had a wonderful getaway . The house is super clean, beds all comfortable. Amazing kitchen. Backyard was our favorite spot. Pool and hot tub were perfect. Our son loved fishing off the dock and collecting coconuts. Nikki the owner was quick to respond to any questions. We would definitely use it again.

Not What We Expected

This property has incredible potential and was once undoubtedly a premier home, but the place is simply going to seed. The house interior itself is well laid out and welcoming, and the lanai back patio with fire pit and hot tub are a great space in which to hang out. The beds are comfortable and there is ample hot water for many showers etc. The problem is that you cannot look too closely at anything. Here is a partial list of issues: 1) some wooden boards of the dock are so rotten that I almost fell through one, so we were uncomfortable using any of the water toys; 2) the outdoor grill works fine, but the tiled workspace is so mildewed and neglected as to be revolting; 3) the cushioned patio furniture was stained and a large bench/storage unit featured in the photos was so damaged and misshapen as to be bizarre; 4) the kitchen faucet was loose, and the cabinets were chipped and one was even missing its hardware; 5) the master bedroom was dark rather than sun-filled as shown in the photos because the blinds were stuck in the down position due to remote control problems; 6) the main den sofa cushions smelled so of dog that we had to lay down towels to sit on it; 7) the covers on the outdoor speakers are stained with rust and in need of paint; 8) decorative greenery flanking the entryway has largely peeled off and is piled under the front bench - they simply need to be re-glued. I admit that finding the house poorly cleaned (hair in shower, filthy pots, pans, china, utensils, appliances, and cabinets) set a bad initial tone, but these other issues compounded the problem geometrically. Throughout our issues, the owner was very communicative with our concerns and they refunded the cleaning fee; however, I found their excuses of "on backorder" (broken outdoor grill sink) or "numerous calls with manufacturer" (broken master shades) to ring very hollow because so many of the issues could be remedied with a simple handyman. Also, there are simply too many examples of property deterioration to accept repeated excuses. Finally the neighborhood is not a premier area. As just one example, the gas station at the end of the street is marginal, and its convenience store is scary. My son bought water there and was shaken by the experience. At a low price point this property could be worth it, but we felt wildly overcharged given the reality versus the website photos and description.

Thank you Nikki and Kevin for allowing us to stay in your beautiful Ft. Lauderdale vacation home.

My family and I had a lovely time in your vacation home. Our 3 kids and grandkids celebrated the New year and bbq outdoors and used the pool and the jacuzzi . We had a lovely view and we saw fireworks at night from the backyard. We also saw a beautiful manatee in the water enjoying the afternoon. We recommend this property for a large party. The comfort was amazing and the home was beautifully done. The Villar Family 🤩🍾

Excellent getaway

We enjoyed our time at the Sailfish. My sons enjoyed the pool, the kayaks, fishing, and the basketball hoop in the garage area. The house was clean and had everything we needed in a home away from home. We would stay here again.

Great house

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. The house was very clean and fully stocked. The owners were extremely attentive and responsive. Our only issue was the loft/attic. We were counting on a 4th bedroom with actual beds and we did not get that. House really only sleeps 6 comfortably unless your ok with air mattresses and couches. The loft was very hot and low ceilings. It did get very tight for our party of 9. But we made it work and had a fabulous time. Thank you again!

Friends and Family FL Stay

Great location, nice property. Room for all! We travel with pets, great neighborhood for walking the dogs. An upgrade to the outdoor cooking area and maybe an instruction sheet for all the remote controls thru- out the house would be helpful for us older folks.! Thank you for a nice stay!

Great stay

Nikki was very communicative and a great host. Everything we needed to know was provided in a manual, check-in and out process was seamless. The place was nicely decorated down to the smallest detail. The house was spacious and the backyard was the best part. Also very close to main restaurants and Las Olas beach.

Private Oasis

The house was perfect! The chefs kitchen had everything we needed. The house was spotless and Nikki was very responsive to questions. The pictures do not do this house justice. The backyard is like a private oasis. Will definitely return and recommend this home to others.
