We had a wonderful stay. The home was very well-appointed with a variety of sitting areas, inside and out, to stretch out and relax. An abundance of natural light via skylights and terrific views made for an enjoyable experience. While there were only the two of us on our trip, the house would be excellent for large family groups given the ample space and floor plan.

The scenery cannot be improved upon. The home is very spacious and accommodated all of our family’s needs. Our host was so welcoming and very responsive if we had any questions. Many excellent hiking trails nearby. We had such a spectacular time, it was very hard to leave! I would highly recommend staying here!

This was the perfect location for our family reunion! Lovely bedrooms, plenty of space, great kitchen, and the views are incredible! We loved the game room in the basement/garage as well. Our host was very good at timely communication whenever we had any questions, which we greatly appreciated!

White lotus New Mexico style

Fabulous. The pool was the pure water I have ever experienced. The pool area was well designed and we all hung out there a great deal. Very safe and accessible. We watched the sun go down each night from the balcony which was a lovely experience for all of us. Many games played. Top no names notch bedrooms and bath and shower facilities. Comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen, bathrooms, entire home.

Amazing location for an incredible wedding

Theo is an amazing host and his property is top notch. The pictures don't do the place justice. The 1mi private driveway is a bit rough, but nothing any car can't handle, just be sure anyone arriving the first time at night is careful because there are some places you would not want to go off road. Everything was so comfortable, there was ample supplies for everything we needed and Theo was extremely responsive to any questions we had mid stay. We felt extremely welcome. The amenities were top notch as well. Hiking up a mountain right from the back yard was amazing, even if a little sketchy requiring some scrambling. Highly recommended for a feeling of complete isolation in nature!!! Will probably revisit again in the future!

PERFECT

This home exceeded our expectations in every way. The host "Ted" Theo, was the most gracious and welcoming host I have experienced in countless short-term rental experiences. This is a must stay! Even if you are a Las Cruces local, the property is like an out of town oasis. We had a work event here and it accommodated our day time activities and our traveling work mates for overnight with comfort and ease. It is a long dirt road to access the home, but most any vehicle can make the short trek to desert paradise. Thank you again Ted and family for sharing this special place with us. We will book again!

Family Holiday Retreat

WOW!!! The property and the experience were terrific. 15 of us ages 7 months to 94 years old celebrated the Christmas holidays at this wonderful oasis between the mountains and the high desert. Check-in was seamless. The property was clean and well attended to inside and out. Communiation with our host was spot on throughout the stay. The place was amazing and was outfitted with just about everything you could want to make your stay easy and comfortable. THANK YOU!!!

Beautiful home!

This is a wonderful property. It was clean, well-maintained, and exceptionally peaceful. It is only five minutes to a beautiful hiking trail in Soledad Canyon, about 15 minutes to an equally beautiful trail in Dripping Springs, and about 45 minutes to White Sands National Park (which is well worth the drive). The owner (Theo) was easily reachable and generally replied to our pre-visit questions within just a few minutes. I highly recommend this property.

Enchanted Christmas

My family and I were so fortunate to celebrate Christmas together at this magical place. We had a wonderful time making memories together in the land of enchantment. We had 16 people that stayed at the house full-time, and an additional 16 that drove up during the day and went to their homes to sleep at night. Everyone in our group loved the house and we enjoyed it to the fullest — especially the heated pool and spa and fire pit. What a nice treat, especially in December! Hiking on this sacred land was also enjoyed by many in our group. Everything is as advertised, only better! The owner was wonderful to communicate with and was super responsive. I highly recommend and encourage this overall experience.

A luxury Solitude in the Mountains

I cannot capture the extent of luxury, the vastness and the solitude that this place provides in the middle of Organ mountains. We were group of 6 friends visiting New Mexico from 6 different states. Initially when we booked this place, we thought it might be too big and expensive for one night stay of 6 people. But after living there, we have no regrets, and I will tell you why: 1. It is a combination of solitude and luxury away from the city but still with in the access of the city. 2. The best part of the house was its roof top where there are beds, where you can literally sleep in night under the open sky full of stars. 3. It has many terraces/ balconies where you can sit and relax. 4. There are multiple fire places that add warmth and comfort to your stay. 5. It has big luxury rooms with elegant beds. The decoration of the rooms and the bathrooms cannot be described in words. It just expresses the great esthetic sense and love of the owner for art. 6. It has all sorts of games, bicycles, filtered water etc. If you want to stay 1-2 nights away from the hustle bustle of a city in the heart of the mountains, this is the place. I bet that you would not regret spending this amount. If you go there, try to be there before 5 pm so that you can fully enjoy the sunset in the Organ mountains on the back. Simply! loved this place. Plan to visit it again in future.

Wonderful getaway for the entire family

We were here to meet our family that lives in the area. The description exactly matched what we saw when we arrived. The owner was very prompt. If we had any questions, they immediately answered and got back with us. The house had more than what you needed plenty of towels, pool was extremely clean, and it was an excellent house to host company. The night time views were amazing as well. We saw lots of deer, cows, and rabbits as well. The kids enjoyed hiking, swimming, playing with the play station, and exploring the area.

Home away from Home

I recently had the pleasure of staying here that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the beauty and tranquility of the surroundings. This place truly deserves a five-star review for its exceptional features and the wonderful experience it provided. I cannot recommend this house highly enough. It provided a truly memorable experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have stayed there. College Graduation Weekend

The stay was amazing, we had guests ranging from 4 to 71 and they all had fun. The house is remote which was perfect for a graduation party and though the drive appeared daunting no one complained. The house is perfect for any size group, we enjoyed swimming, playing pool, table tennis, basketball and watching an endless supply of DVD's. I would have to say that out of the many rentals I've had with VRBO this was one of my favorites. Edward was one of the best hosts we've had the pleasure to work with and he responded quickly to every question which was great. He is by far a 5 star host, if VRBO had a Michelin rating I would definite recommend he receive it. As a side note the hike up squaw mountain was accomplished by a few of our guests and it was worth the effort. Don't pass on this house for your next stay in Las Cruces.

Beautiful Mountain View

Squaw Mountain makes this stay worth it alone. The sunset/sunrise are beautiful. The sleeping of 20 people is no joke, there are beds/rooms everywhere. The heated spa/pool were always warm and perfect. Just a beautiful mountain getaway for a perfect private trip. We absolutely loved it!
