“I was surprised it was close to the road but Penobscot quiets down about 8pm so road noise was not an issue. It was a lovely house to stay in.Very comfortable. Easy to get from there to Castine, Blue Hill, Deer Isle. The walk down to the beach is lovely and the views across the Bay are always interesting as the tide comes in and out.”

We especialy enjoyed the birdhouses and feeders. The screened porch was perhaps the best part, followed closely by the inviting fire pit area. “Our first time to the area. Updated house in a quiet neighborhood and city just outside Portland. 20 minute drive or Uber into downtown Portland. The house was clean and easily accommodated 6 adults. We also enjoyed the outside sitting area with the fire pit. ”

The room is on the second floor; the bathroom is private but down a short hallway. The property is in the country and very quiet. Restaurants and stores are in Ellsworth, and easy 20-25 minute drive. Hosts are lovely and not intrusive. ”
