This turned out to be a really bad experience for us, definitely Una Esperienze to forget.
Started with issues with asking to be paid for the stay 3 days ahead of the stay. Although Hotels.com had a credit card as insurance, the hotel wanted to be paid in advance. I initially reacted to the WhatsApp message sending a link for payment as spam and had to talk numerous times to the hotel and to hotels.com to trust the payment link. Still unsure why they should be paranoid when there is a credit card secured by hotels.com. Still, this was not the worst thing.
During our stay, the water stopped working in our room on the second night. We were asked to make-do with the situation until help arrived the next morning. It was fixed the next morning, but only to break again the same night. When I was finally upset with the situation, we were offered a different room. Until it was apparent that I was really annoyed, there was no thought to move us immediately
About the apartment: the view is nice, the place is central, the staff were pleasant although didn't help or compensate us in any other way. That's about the positives.
The apartments are fairly used with dirty walls, minimum furnitures, and absolutely zero service. You even have to buy toilet papers when the 4 rolls that they provide runs out. I will not classify the above as 'luxury'. Maybe it is a good deal for a family of 4-6 people who just want a large place, but this was definitely not a great experience as we hoped for.
