Spectacular Seaside Escape 💕
The 180 degree water view is stunning but the tranquility that view in-vibes is priceless. Absolutely loved this experience waterfront view, homey, comfortable and the location and proximity to downtown made this one of the best VRBO stays. Beth and Kris are wonderful host. We look forward to returning soon.

Wonderful stay in Mystic
We truly enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The views are amazing! The apartment is clean and comfortable. It feels much more spacious than a studio apartment. It was a perfect location for what we wanted to do. I would highly recommend it for a couple.

Studio Get away
This is a very large studio! It has a full kitchen, gorgeous shower, a very comfortable queen bed that has water views . Actually the whole studio looks out on the water since the whole studio has large windows!!! It is even nicer than the website pictures. The family is super nice! They have ducks that are fun to watch. Although they live upstairs, you have the whole side of the yard to yourself and they are very respectful of your privacy. The property is very close to restaurants and shopping. There is a very nice Big Y grocery store about 10 minutes away. We definitely want to go back!!

Amazing an breathtaking

Wonderful retreat!

A Fantastic Retreat
The Studio by the Sea is such a fantastic place to stay. You’re walking distance to the bridge and the center of town, yet you have a peaceful escape any time you need it. The fishing is wonderful, and our little boy loved being able to fish right from the yard. Kris, Beth, and their family are amazingly nice and accommodating. We look forward to our next stay!

We didn't want to leave.
We enjoyed our stay in Mystic so much that we didn't want to leave. The location is ideal - very peaceful yet close to so many attractions. The hosts were very welcoming, and we enjoyed visiting with them. And the ducks! So cute. But for us the best part was the view. So very restful. We highly recommend and hope to stay here again some day.

Gorgeous Mystic property
This property is gorgeous directly on the water. The studio apartment is genorously sized, we were aBle to setup a packnplay crib for our 14month old. All rooms have views with operable windows for a great breeze and the sounds of the waves. The homeowners were so friendly and even caught a duck so our daughter could pet him. We cant wait to visit again!

Enchanting in Every Way!
Beth and Chris' gorgeous place absolutely exceeded our expectations. When we walked in for the first time we felt like we had arrived in Paradise. It is so beautifully and comfortably decorated it could be in a magazine. The views from every place you look are absolutely stunning. The kitchen is very well-equipped, the shower is wonderful and the bed is very comfortable, plus the view when you wake up in the morning is gorgeous. We cannot believe how lucky we got to find Beth and Chris' place. They are both so kind and very fun to talk to and I loved all their ducks who all have names. I was so happy I got to meet sweet Sharon This is a place I wish everyone could experience and I just hope we get to get back to visit again. Warm regards and all the best to you, Beth and Chris and your family. You provided such a gift to us. Thank you so very very much. If we could give it 10 stars we would.

Picture perfect!
Staying in the studio is like living in a picture postcard...the views are amazing day and night, even when the fog rolled in early one morning. Kris and Beth were perfect hosts, and the ducks and dogs were totally entertaining. Definitely our new place to stay in Mystic!

We had a great stay at Kris and Beth’s place. They were wonderful hosts and have a beautiful property. We had a relaxing weekend, their oysters are amazing, and nights sitting by the pit fire and looking out over the water was peaceful. Highly recommend a long weekend here.

A Magical Place for a vacation
The studio apartment is modern and very comfortable. It is on a piece if land that extends into the wide estuary of the Mystic river. Think beautiful sunsets, sailboats and kayaks, seagulls and egrets. Plus it is walking distance to the town of Mystic and the train station. And they have amusing tame ducks and 2 funny playful dogs.

excellent vacation
The studio was amazing, very clean the views were just as described. We had fun playing in the river and trying out kayaks for the first time. The only problem we had was leaving, the place and the hosts were so amazing that it was hard to pack up and leave. Can't wait until we can go back.

This is an immaculate apartment that is so skillfully decorated that it seems bigger than it is. Lovely view from wrap around windows on three sides! So peaceful! Owners live upstairs and are very nice. We stayed for a few days and would definitely return!

Best VRBO experience EVER!
This was such a beautiful property! The picture do not do justice to how incredibly this apartment is. Plenty of room with spectacular views. I stayed for a full month and am so fortunate to find this place and get to know the owners. Kris and Beth are amazing people and I felt like I became a part of an amazing family while I was there. While the apartment itself was spectacular, they are the ones who made being away from home for a month for work an enjoyable experience. Seriously, there aren’t the words to describe how happy I was and how hopeful I am to stay there again!!!

Beautiful, Convenient Oasis close to down-town
This large studio, less than a mile to downtown is a beautiful oasis. It is close to everything (we walked to breakfast and dinner every night) and has the most beautiful views from the large windows completely bordering two sides of the unit, that we found it difficult to tear ourselves away to go exploring. But explore we did, with great suggestions from the owners Kris and Beth, who live on the property. Such nice people. This is the spot to rent in Mystic! Stunning views, immaculate, beautiful property with excellent access to downtown. Love, love, loved it. Thanks so much Kris and Beth. We’ll be back!

Beautiful studio in the perfect location
This studio is every bit as lovely as the photos reflect- and then some. It is right on the water with incredible panoramic windows so you cannot miss the view. The layout ensures that you have plenty of space. Every detail is top notch and it could not be more clean. While we didn’t take the train, you certainly could as the depot is within walking distance (but don’t worry- no noise). We also walked into town, which was not a bad distance if you enjoy a break from vehicles and take time to stop at the adorable shops and restaurants. Our stay was 3 nights and 4 days and this serene studio offered us the perfect fall getaway. We hope to return!

Right at home
This is one of the nicest paces we have ever rented. Kris and Beth take pride in their wonderful home that they share with guests. They are hard workers and take pride in their many tasks of maintaining this property and the dedication it requires to keep things in good shape. I almost didn't want to share to the world how much we loved staying here in fear that there won't be availability next time we want to vacation there. It's was a great find when searching for an oceanside retreat. So much of the coastline has been bought up by developers and big money out-of-state investors that it is hard to come across such a perfect place to truly relax. We will be back!

A perfect Connecticut getaway! I would not change a thing.
The posting is exactly what you get. However what the pictures can not show you is the family’s pride and love in sharing their home. Even though the owners are on property, you have your own private space. Thanks again for a wonderful week. The animals only add to charm.

Great spot for a birthday on the water
I was seeking an Amtrak accessible destination from NYC with water views and once I saw photos of the Studio by the Sea I decided Mystic was the spot! The house was a short 8 minute walk from the train. Kris offered to store our bags at their nearby business until we could check in, the son Jake ended up picking up our things and brought them to the house for us (much appreciated as there was a bit of a humid heatwave on our arrival day!). Studio is beautiful, looks newly renovated with windows galore! Had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Cozy couch and chairs and a pillow top bed. Great bathroom, glassed in shower with plenty of spots to put everything. Plenty of towels that smelled like fresh laundry. Kitchen seemed well appointed but ended up eating out the whole trip. Loved looking out the windows at the water at every chance and the family of ducks on the property. Only thing I didn't account for was how bright it would be at sunrise, wish I had also packed my partner a sleep mask so we could sleep in. Would definitely stay again if we are in Mystic. We could walk downtown in a quick 15 minute walk so very convenient to all the spots.

Can’t wait to plan another stay at the studio!
Our stay at the studio was nothing short of amazing. This is our 4th visit to Mystic and the surrounding towns, and was by far our favorite. The views of the cove from the studio are breathtaking. The studio was clean, comfortable and includes everything that we needed during our stay. The studio is in a great location. Quiet but still close to town and all of the area attractions. Our hosts, Kris and Beth truly turned our stay into an experience we will never forget. We absolutely recommended booking a trip with them out on their boat. We spent the evening with them fishing , site-seeing, swimming, and eating lobster rolls and oysters out on a dock. My husband even caught a beautiful 38 inch striped bass. It felt like being out with old friends. We loved the kayaks and learning more about their oyster farm. Max (the best boy) and ducks were such fun. We loved their recommendations for breakfast at the train station and Carson’s store. We are already planning a trip back.

We loved everything about this property. From the friendliness of the owners and pets, to the views and the studio's amenities, it went above what we were even expecting. Good walking distance to town, great fire pit and lawn, fun shower and kitchen full of everything we needed.

Oh what a view!
Once you pull into the driveway you'll know you made the right choose to stay at this home! It's out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Mystic but close enough to walk. Why we LOVED 37 Roseleagh/this location ... the studio was Gorgeous, clean and Beth & Kris (owners) thought of everything detail to make us feel right at home; all we needed was our cloths! And the view, priceless! The studio is wall to wall windows so you are surrounded by the Magnificent view of the water; better stated, breath taking view and Gorgeous studio! This is our new home away from home when we travel to the area again. Thank you again Kris, Beth, Jake, Chelsea, Max (adorable pup) and white ducks out front for sharing your home with us:)
