Epitome of Gross and listing needs to be removed from VRBO

This house should not be in VRBO. To say the least this was a complete disappointment. I am make this review as contructive criticism for the owner and management but as paying guest I felt insulted by the overall conditions of the house. I wanted to leave but just about everything else in the area was sold out or out my budget.The description of the bedding is not accurate (cots do not counts as bed), sagging mattress need to be replaced, there was no soap or shampoo in the bathrooms, no paper towels. Beach towels are not for a bathroom. Furniture is gross and stained the same for the carpeted area, Broken curtain rod, some of the sliding doors were inoperable or impossible to open, blinds had missing or broken slats.Mildew in the shower. Management responded only as to "apologize for the inconvinience"This house is not ready for any guests.Only if I could upload pictures for this review you would understand my disappointment.

Location is great

We booked this house because it’s closer to the church, groceries, restaurants. It is close to the main road but surprisingly quiet. The house feels like home. Very spacious. Kitchen area is our favorite hangout place. We enjoyed sitting by the dining table and watch the backyard and the small lake or canal. We saw crocodile in there. House has some minor issues upon arrival like missing blinds for privacy, but it didn’t bother us much. We informed the hosts of any visible issues that needs fixing upon our arrival. The host is quick to response to any concerns I have. We didn’t get to use other amenities like the swimming pool, the temperature was colder during our stay. However, if they can upgrade their bath towels, face towels, comforters, pillows/pillow cases, that would be nice. Overall, our stay was comfortable, if we have to go back to port charlotte, will definitely booked this house again.

Bad experience

This was anything other than “epitome.” The house was messy, have bugs and bug traps everywhere. All vertical blinds were broken and couldn’t be opened. The house was scarce on amenities. I tried to contact the rental company and they did not get back to me for over 24 hours. This was my worst VRBO experience ever.

Fun place

We had a great time at the house & in the pool area. The only suggestion would be is to have more towels in the bathrooms, more pool towels, and more kitchen towels. The patio door out of the master bedroom handle is loose. The grill was very dirty and we did not use it but hope we don’t get charged for it. There was also a beer can of chew spit in the pool area. We definitely left it cleaner than we found as there wasn’t alot of information on what to do when leaving so wanted to make sure we didn’t get charged. All the garbages were taken out even though it didn’t say we needed to. Would have liked to know about all the ants and traps everywhere. But all in all it was a great stay and would definitely rent again. Thank you
