“I booked the hotel to stay in for 3 nights with my daughter whilst I was playing in the Pickleball English Open in Telford. I always look for a pool and looking at some of the reviews this was a bit of a gamble, however it definitely paid off !

From the friendly welcome received on check-in to the cleanliness of the room allocated, everything was absolutely perfect for the overnight stay. I slept very well & enjoyed the morning coffee in the café downstairs. It was all spot-on and excellent value for money. I will recommend to friends and I would like to book to stay there again. ”

“Old building with a pub on the lower floor right in the middle of Ironbrigde Gorge area. Good food in the pub - not the ordinary pub grub - much more variate d and better cooked. Locals seem to like this place too which adds to the atmosphere. Rooms clean, staff very friendly and rooms well equipped with water boiler, free wifi and more. Would stay here again if ever passing Ironbridge Gorge again.”

“Check-in was very quick. Parking is just behind the hotel in a city car park. Our first room Moreton was awfully small/narrow for two people. We couldn’t leave a suitcase open, because it was impossible to pass. The bed was also old and we were both rolling towards the middle. Luckily for us staff Simon offered us to change room when he heard me complaining of my bad back. Simon upgraded us to Acton Trussel which was totally different. Big and comfortable bed. Managed to use the gym, pool and steam room whilst staying at the hotel. When staying in Telford again i will make sure i book again at the Mercure.
