“We really enjoyed the cottage. It had wonderful views, great places to sit outside, relax and enjoy being in the countryside. The property owner was great and even took us to a local winery. It only took about 20 minutes to drive into Coimbra so we had the best of city and country. There also was a great local restaurant for local style food. I would definitely stay there again. ”

“The house is lovely. We particularly loved the outside kitchen, dining and lounge area and we used this a great deal. The pool was also great. The house is in a good location in a small hamlet but there are no facilities there so you do need to drive everywhere. It is about 20min drive to Coimbra which is a very pretty old city and definitely worth a visit. The Atlantic coast is about 45min drive where there are beautiful long sandy beaches. The only downside for us was the proximity to the A13...

“It's a fantastic place to go with your family, specially with the little ones. The location is perfect, you have access to everything you need ( supermarket, pools, river beaches, restaurants, etc). The house is perfect, you have all what you need to enjoy your stay. Try the olive oil and fresh bread. It's definitely a place to come back in the future. Thanks for everything Gavin and Bianca.”

“L'impression est positive: communication, amabilité, équipements, emplacement. Un point négatif toutefois: contrairement à l'annonce il n'y a qu'une salle d'eau (la deuxième pièce est constitué d'un WC avec un lavabo) et non deux ce qui aurait été un problème si nous étions venus à 4 avec un enfant. Pour finir nos hôtes ont été charmants et attentionnés.”

“This was an absolutely marvelous place. Admittedly there is not much to do in this quiet village, but we found that the comfort of the home kept us very happy. We especially enjoyed the fireplace with firewood included to create a very cozy ambience. The room is very thoughtfully designed and has lots of light. The staff at the breakfast were very kind and provided excellent service. I really enjoyed the chance to customise our breakfast before arrival. I would absolutely return here on a future...

“This was the most relaxing stay! We were deep in the countryside in our own stone village with great amenities and fresh bread, fruit, cheese, jam and honey for our kitchen every day. No restaurant on site or in walking distance but it was fun and challenging diving around exploring the region on back roads to get to the each town with its castle and church. ”
