High Tide Hideaway, brought to you by the Heart of Cape Cod, is a beautiful dog-friendly waterfront home on Lieutenant Island that is perfect for a romantic getaway for two or the whole family. This charming beauty on the beach combines vintage character with modern touches for a serene escape on Cape Cod. Come to the island and make memories that will last a lifetime.

We respect the autonomy of our guests but are available by text, email, phone, carrier pigeon, smoke signal, yodeling, or Facetime. Communication with guests is important to us. Please be sure you have app notifications turned on for your phone as this will be our means of communicating with you before, during, and after your stay. Our digital guidebooks contain directions, instructions, and access information. It is your responsibility to review this information prior to arrival.

We love our neighbors! We are located at the end of a quiet, residential sandy shared drive, therefore, we do not allow parties or events at the Hideaway.

With expansive windows throughout, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the wild and rugged beauty of the island, allowing natural light to fill every corner. Just a short path from your doorstep leads you to Hidden Beach, a tranquil spot perfect for launching your kayak into the waters of Loagy Bay. - Dog friendly (with additional fee of $100 per dog-Max 2 dogs). No cats, birds, turtles, kimono dragons, pet rocks, or chocolate Easter bunnies. Just the four-legged kind that says “woof”.

- Professionally cleaned by an award-winning, VRMA recognized company that uses thorough checklists, followed by sanitization and disinfection of high touch points throughout the home.

The island is accessed by a bridge and the road may become covered in water if the tide exceeds 10 feet. You will see island residents and guests pull over to the side of the road waiting for the tide to recede sometimes. Depending on how high the tide is, it may only be 30-50 minutes or so before the road is tide-free (again, it depends on the tide).

For example:

First high tide is at 2:47 am and is 10.73 ft/Second high tide is at 3:05 pm and is 10.95 ft
Residents and guests with plans at 3:00 pm would simply arrive or leave between 2:00/2:30. If they miss the window, they simply wait 30/45 minutes until the tide recedes off the road. It isn't a big deal and a part of island life. Do not drive through salt water.

We understand that things happen and plans may change so we always recommend purchasing travel insurance for your vacation.

Please note there is a beach grass barrier that holds the sand dune in place between the house and the water as shown in the pictures. You must walk a short path around the conservation plantings to avoid destruction of the dune to access the water. In other words, you can't dive off the deck into the water.

The highlight of the house is th amazing views from every window. Played out well for all ages with a game table for endless monopoly Well stocked dishes cups —-able to prepare Thanksgiving meal. Comfortable bedding sheets included One of the best houses I rented on VRBO
