The Old Dairy loft, innerstaden boende

  • "The Old Dairy loft" är en nyligen avslutad vindsvåning som designats av prisbelönta arkitekter MCK. Ursprungligen platsen för en mjölkproduktion på 1850-talet innehåller den nya designen en ursprunglig tegelvägg som formar en bakgrund till den nya layouten.

    Det har vackra mahogny tak och skåp och är fullt heltäckningsmatta hela. Det finns en öppen planlösning kök / matsal / vardagsrum med utsikt över en intilliggande parken. Sovrummet har inbyggda garderober, en king size-säng som kan konfigureras i två singlar om det behövs och ett badrum. Det finns tvättstuga och ett fullt fungerande kök, komplett med ugn, gashäll, kyl och diskmaskin. Det finns ett delat system värme / kylsystem för att hålla interiour vid en behaglig temperatur. Du har också TV, DVD, ett Bose iPhone docks ljudsystem och gratis wifi.

    Det finns gratis parkering på gatan, men det är begränsat till 2 timmar från 10:00 till 06:00. Vi har några gäst tillstånd som är tillgängliga för dem som behöver en bil medan de vistas. Vänligen meddela oss om du behöver ett gästkort eftersom det blir en extra avgift för dessa kort.

    Loftet ligger i anslutning till Moore Park och bara några minuter till den berömda restauranger i Surry Hills och Dank Street. Fox Studios, Centennial Park och SCG är en kort promenad över Moore Park. Fastigheten ligger 2 km från Sydney centrum och bara 10 minuters bilresa från flygplatsen.

    Du hittar loftet en lugn plats att vila men nära nog all underhållning Sydney har att erbjuda. Det finns många cykelvägar i området som leder dig från din dörr till Woolloomoo, operahuset och andra sevärdheter i Sydney. Central Station ligger 15 steg bort genom Surry Hills löviga gator och stränderna är en kort bussresa bort.

    Vi har nyligen avslutat en swimmingpool som ligger intill Loftet. Det kan finnas lite buller från poolen på varma helger och efter 15:00 på veckodagar, som våra barn älskar att simma. Vi ser alltid till att det är tyst före 9 och efter 9:00.

Great place in Surry Hills

I loved staying at Sarah's place in Surry Hills. Great location near lots of restaurants in a fun lively neighborhood, but away from busy streets so pretty quiet. Nice little park across the street. Well designed, clean lines, very comfortable apartment. I loved Sydney and would definitely stay here again if I can come back.

The place had everything we needed and was a short walk to food etc. Parking whilst not in abundance we always found one close enough. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful space.

The loft is a beautifully renovated loft with everything you need. Perfect for a city break! Beautiful area with lots of green spaces and trees. Close to restaurants, cafes, Moore Park and the light rail. Easy access to the city. Some noise at night but it is the festive season!

Can be a 5 Star - Only a 4

Let's start with what knocks this from a 5 to a 4. My wife is a neat freak. She first noticed the crums under the toaster and food scraps in the utensil drawer, couch wasn't cleaned with whatever slips inbetween the cushions and dead bugs behind furniture that can be easily moved and vacuumed. The kitchen needed more furniture. The towels left for us looked like they were washed and left to dry in the machine. The cotton towels had the consistency of sandpaper. After rewashing, the towels were better plush and ready for use. There were a shortage of utensils provided and we needed to hand wash those if the dishwasher wasn't full. This is not a car friendly neighborhood if you intend to have one during your stay, however parking passes were available if you wanted to find a spot to park in the neighborhood. My advice would be to find a parking spot in the neighborhood and leave it there for the entirety of your stay. Sydney is an easy city to get around using public transportation which we did for 2 weeks. Busses, light rail and trains will take you to wherever you want to visit without any long waits. The transit passes were left in the unit and we used them and were able to use refill the fares on them online. This unit is a very comfortable unit (not withstanding the initial impressions I mantion above). This unit is located in a great neighborhood where great coffee shops, restaurants and other essentials are nearby. This unit is a solid 4star and can easily be a 5.

A great base for a long weekend

The apartment was a great base to spend the weekend catching up with friends and seeing the sites of Sydney. The location is fantastic and the apartment had everything we needed. Only suggestions is for some additional lighting as the apartment could be a bit dark at times and a full length mirror would be useful. We also didn’t get a response from the owner until after we had left when we asked if a late check out was a possibility due to an evening flight (we had messaged the week prior to our booking). But all in all we enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful stay and quiet/great location in Surry Hills

The property owners (Sarah) were very prompt in providing any assistance we needed, even prior to our visit. We ran into some heavy rain during our stay, and the wind broke their umbrella, bit they were very accommodating, even though we offered to replace. The opal cards they provided for public transport were very useful and downtown (CBD) Sydney was 15 minutes away. Groceries, good bars, bakery and restaurants were all conveniently nearby.

Fantastic property in a lovely suburb of Sydney.

Everything and more You could want from a property . Lovely suburb but a little way out but this is not a problem as there is a cheap and regular bus and tram system that is on the door step.

Fantastic Flat, Location and Hosts!!!

This flat has everything one needs for a fantastic vacation getaway. The bed is super comfortable and the rain shower is lovely. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need, but there are many excellent restaurants in the area if you don’t want to cook on your vacation. One thing we should mention is that the microwave doesn’t work. Sarah was a very good communicator and check in was a breeze. We will gladly stay here again and again.

This was our second stay in this accommodation and this remains our favourite place to stay in Sydney. Very modern and well presented and in a perfect position for all the great bars and cafes in the Redfern and Surrey Hills area. Close to public transport. Highly recommended.

Compact space perfect for a couple. Comfy bed and loved the heated bathroom floor. Owner of the loft touched base to make sure things were going well; appreciated the availability. Recommend Cafe Kentaro for lunch!

Wonderful quiet place in heart of Sydney

Anything traveling couple that likes to cook and explore using public transportation may ever wish for. Property is spacious, quiet, close to grocery store and several bus stops. There are numerous restaurants nearby. We had breakfast at Little Evie's that was wonderful. Sarah was always available to help and advise. Great stay!

Wonderful place and location

Truly enjoyed staying in the “Old Dairy Loft”. WOnderfully quiet (except at times for the birds!) location in a great neighbourhood. Easy access to touristy areas and lots of eating choices within easy walk. The place is wonderfully kitted out and spotless. Thank you for sharing!
