Our stay was outstanding, perfect weather to open the windows and listen to the gurgling stream! The cabin is perfect and nicely secluded with amenities still within a 5 minute drive. We will be booking this one again for sure!!

Practically perfect retreat!
Came on my own to recharge my introvert battery, and this place was such a great place to do it. The fireplace keeps the whole cabin cozy, even with high winds and single digit wind chills! The hot tub was the perfect place to soak and enjoy the snow falling all around me. The back deck would be perfect for small groups and there’s enough yard for kids to play if you have them with you. The kitchen was more equipped than the listing indicated, but does need a big stock pot. The location was perfect- there were houses all around but I could only really see one across the creek and way up the hill. There are SO many rhododendrons that I can only imagine the beauty when they bloom. The house feels so private and quiet but you are maybe 5-10 minutes from West Jefferson. The driveway is the steepest part of your trek in and out, and it’s not bad. Things to keep in mind: -every bed downstairs is elevated with only a small step stool to get in and out. Because they are wedged into corners it’d be a bit tricky to have 2 adults in there! One of the beds is on a platform thing so high that it really needs a two-step stool to climb in and out. -the third bed is up a tiny, narrow spiral staircase that I wouldn’t have felt comfortable navigating for middle of the night potty breaks downstairs. I loved my stay and hope to come back again next year.

Though there were only 2 adults for our stay, this cabin would easily accommodate 6 (as long as everyone can schedule around 1 bathroom). Very clean, well appointed, and directions for use of pretty much everything in the house were included. Outdoor area (deck, hot tub, fire pit, creekside porch) is fabulous, and would be great for adults and kids any time of the year. This home made for a peaceful weekend.

Birthday Getaway
Had a great weekend staying at the cabin for a girls weekend to celebrate my birthday! The cabin is so cute and cozy! The corner sleeping nook was my favorite, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. We loved the hot tub by the creek and using the firepit. Thanks for a great weekend!

Perfect getaway
This place is so much better than the listing shows. It’s perfectly quaint and located right next to a babbling stream which made sleeping so peaceful. The house is cozy and comfortable and perfectly located near West Jefferson for dinner and shopping, but also near so many hiking trails.

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend here. Incredibly comfortable. Only downfall was getting locked out with two little kids in the cold! Strongly recommend replacing the door handle on the back porch. Would benefit from a keypad entrance.

Snowy Weekend Getaway
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin is unique and well furnished. One recommendation would be that it needs more heat besides the gas logs for snowy conditions. We were there during windy weather with snow and there was cold air coming in through one of the windows, making it quite chilly. Thankfully, we brought extra blankets to keep us warm. We enjoyed the beautiful creek, fire pit, and hot tub. Quaint little cabin for a family weekend getaway!

Great getaway!
We enjoyed our stay here very much. The cabin was well appointed and very cozy. The deck overlooking the creek and the hot tub made outdoors a great place to relax. If you're looking to stay in and rest, or if you want to use this as a jumping off point for shopping, hiking, or whatever you are into, you will not be disappointed. This place provides a nice feeling of being secluded in your own little world without actually being too secluded.

We were disappointed that pet hair was in furniture and the rugs. Spider web on kitchen window. Beds were not good for adults our age. But the sound of the creek was wonderful and completely private place. The screened in building was in disrepair. Dishwasher was broken and no other dishpan there. We still enjoyed our stay!

What a great getaway spot we have discovered for future stays! Very peaceful and tucked away next to a gurgling mountain stream. Very clean and the unique decor was much fodder for discussion. Of course the hot tub was a great amenity as we had evenings in the 40s and 50s. We are already looking forward to returning!

This is a lovely property right on the creek which makes for lovely relaxing sounds all the time. The Hot Tub is located perfectly under the stars. It was such a well-needed rest and very enjoyable! 😊

We enjoy our stay. the cabin was in a nice location. Lots of things handy in the kitchen. It was cleaned properly. The hot tub water didnt look to our liking. If the weather would have been permitting we may have gotten in. The furniture was pretty old and worn. The beds, well the beds Ill just say we were glad to be home to sleep on ours. We did enjoy the place, just little dated. The property outside could use sprucing up also. For the price we paid tho, we were pleased. We enjoyed our 2 night stay.

Loved our getaway, shopping was great, views were gorgeous, cabin was cozy and in a nice convenient location. Only recommendation would be to add outdoor lighting to the deck. It was very dark and we enjoy sitting outside, used a flashlight.

Wonderful location and the cabin itself! We will definately be back. Fantastic walks around and trips to nearby parks, trails and hikes. We had a wonderful time. The only thing we missed was full propane tank for the bbq and a light over the dinning table (new light bulb did not help). Otherwise, this place is fantastic and fullfilled all our needs. The voice message for the property management asking for a new Propane tank did not get any response. We enjoyed fire pit though. Thank you for fantastic vacation.
