“The cottage was perfectly for us, beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, with everything you may need for a stay away from home, from a picnic bag to a slow cooker. The location is perfect.Walking distance to the park and ride for Whitby and a great restaurant and pub across the road. We also took advantage of the lovely bridal paths for walks in the countryside. Jenny the host was very responsive. I would definitely recommend”

“The house was everything we hoped for and more. The decor is spot on and there can't be many houses in Whitby with a better vista. The only thing I would say though is that it is very difficult to load and unload...Church St car park was packed so we had to use the Abbey car park which is a gruelling up/downhill slog for the less fit/able. Be prepared to travel very light as you can't get close to the property with a car. Having said that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return.”

“The house was well kept, clean and very well stocked with all the things we needed for making Christmas dinner. The house was brilliantly located for getting to the beach and down into town. Communication with the owner was easy and he always responded. We will be going back. It was great.”

“This place is spot on for a little retreat away from the bustle of nearby towns. The host is really lovely and accommodating. We had an issue with hot water that she resolved immediately. There’s lovely little touches like some welcome snacks. Honestly excellent value as well, you’d definitely not complain even if prices were higher given quality of the stay. ”

The whole booking experience with VRBO was smooth and simple with good communication from the owner. I would definitely recommend this property for either a long or short sray.”

“It was a lovely little cottage, had everything we could need. Staff were also very helpful. very comfortable place. We enjoyed our stay very much. However the mattresses were a bit hard but that made little difference. We still slept well 😊 would recommend! ”

“The cottage is very close to the beach and the town centre, we found it to be very quiet and relaxing, and it has a parking spot outside the property, it is well equipped it has a full sized fridge freezer, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this roomy cottage.”

“The house was big and there where plenty of room for the 6 of us. The bedrooms were fine, and there were toys if you had children. It would have been nice with soap in both bathrooms, and enough toiletpaper. It is nice if those things are OK when you arrive. We would like a proper cloth in the kitchen to wipe the table. We could not use the iron. It is sticky and dirty”
