My room was absolutely GREAT and cleaning spotless (said by someone who used to clean rooms myself as a teen). Good bed comfort, facilities, soundproofing. Appreciated that the hotel offered free shuttle bus and that breakfast was included.
The negatives I experienced all had to do with the service hotel offered! The shuttle bus was 10 min late to Schipol airport causing unnecessary stress and confusion for guests. How hard can it be to be on time when the shuttle offered only runs every 40 minutes?
When I got to hotel four ppl from same shuttle bus had run into check-in desk to get to get their rooms before me. Fine. But after waiting 10 min a man cut the line when it was my turn. I quickly and loudly objected so both the man and hotel staff (woman) behind the counter could hear but were responded with total ignorance.
The man might not have understood English but the receptionist clearly did. She could have said to the man, "Sorry but you cut the line. It wasn't your turn", but failed to do so. Long time since I experienced service as bad as that. All of that together gave me a very bad first impression.
Other than that two things that could improve is with breakfast and soap/shampo containers. Hotel doesn't serve scrambled eggs. And they have these said to be environmentally friendly containers where soap/shampo is the same. It's not hygienic and it's hard to even use them with less than two hands. Especially when mine was next 2 empty. Plus there is no conditioner.
