“My family of four had a wonderful time at the Pelican Reef Villa. Elsa and the bartenders were wonderful. They helped us to arrange everything from transportation to other reservations. The resort was beautiful and well maintained. We had a 3 bedroom villa that gave us a beautiful view of the pool and the ocean. All the people that we met in Belize were wonderful. “This one bedroom was directly over the beach area and the smell of the sargassum took over! It also needs to be updated! Older property on the island. The unit was very basic. Definitely call ahead of time to see what unit you’re paying for. When it rained the ceiling in the bedroom started to leak but they did refund me for that night. That was my last night in that unit. “We visited Orchid Bay in late June, and had a wonderful time. Staff were uniformly knowledgeable, helpful, attentive and thorough. Our beach-view casita was lovely, fully-equipped and very comfortable. Food at the restaurant was plentiful and varied (even for folks who have some eating restrictions, as we do).
