“Mes amis et moi avons organisé un grand dîner au château à l’occasion du nouvel an, les lieux étaient parfaits. Le château est très charmant et décoré avec goût. Il y a une grande cuisine et un grand service (assiettes, verres, couverts…) ce qui est pratique pour organiser un dîner. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et à l’écoute. Seul bémol, le chauffage en hiver. Nous recommandons à tous les amateurs de belles propriétés et d’histoire (ancienne demeure de Lavoisier ☺️) !”

“Wer schon immer mal in einem Schloss leben wollte, ich kann diese Erfahrung nur empfehlen.Die Unterkunft war riesig und sehr hübsch. Das man das Schloss selber erkunden konnte war auch sehr spannend. Glücklichere waren wir genau da als es die Lichternacht mit Kerzen und Artisten gab. Es war ein toller Urlaub und in der Umgebung gab es noch viele ander Schlösser zu sehen.”

The Park Room that we stayed in was full of antiques, with stunning decor and four shuttered windows that overlooked the the estate, pond and horses, donkeys and cow. The breakfast was very special with the host's homemade marmelade, bread, yoghurt, fresh fruit and eggs from the chateau gardens, local cheeses, pastries. Amazing. Ivana was a wonderful host and was so knowledgeable about the area and local history; she goes above and beyond to make the guests...

“We rented the house for 2 weeks, was well presented well stocked and lots to keep all entertained, the hosts cooked an amazing Carribbean feast for us one night. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back.”

“There were eight adult family members on vacation. The property is absolutely amazing. The house was very comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The grounds are meticulously maintained and the only sounds you hear are the sheep in the dry moat and the birds that inhabit the property. Though there is no air conditioning in the home, the temperatures were very manageable with the windows open. Chartres is a charming town, away from the hustle and bustle of Paris....

The pool is well maintained and the kids had a great time exploring the grounds and surrounding gardens and storage/cave areas that are part of the structure. ”
