Good hotel but noisy
The hotel was in a good location, close to Nyhavn but still quiet and peaceful surroundings. The staff was friendly and the hotel was in good condition. However, the room I was allocated was extremely noisy. At 1:30 am I gave up trying to sleep and went to reception to get another room. The reception solved it but I was given the same room category where I was instead disturbed by a snoring neighbour. I also got earplugs. At that time of night everything else is quiet and when the walls are so thin that you can hear the conversation in detail from the room next door, it's bad. The neighbours weren't even loud, they were just talking while watching a football match. So it didn't feel reasonable to ask them to be completely quiet in their own room. I travel weekly for work and this is only my second time ever changing rooms. I didn't read anything about this in the reviews so I guess it differs between room categories. The fact that I was given earplugs from the reception is thoughtful but at the same time a warning sign. So at the risk of having to experience the same thing again, I will not book a business trip at this hotel again. And they charged me for the coke in the minibar from the first room... I could however stay here again travelling privately when I don´t have a full day of meetings requiring a good nights sleep. There were also many other business travelers there so it was probably not an experience shared by everyone.
