It sounded like a jet plane was taking off, some sort of motor generator inside the wall in the room itself was powering the fan and that, unfortunately, brings down my overall rating of this hotel. The breakfast was mostly tasteless with the exception of the pineapple which was good, otherwise everything else available tasted of....nothing at all. Not overly impressed with this place, plus they add on 35 dollars...
âI have stayed in Old San Juan twice and have always stayed at El Colonial, reception is super friendly and helpful, Cristian was great at giving us recommendations every time. It's close to shops and restaurants. 100% recommend. â

âHotellet lĂ„g extremt lĂ„ngt utanför stan och det var jĂ€ttesvĂ„rt och dyrt att ta sig runt OM man inte har bil. Stranden var inte alls bra utan man fĂ„r ta sig ca 30 minuter med bil till en mycket bĂ€ttre eller gĂ„ 15 minuter till en som var helt okej. Killen i receptionen var dock extremt hjĂ€lpsam och erbjöd vĂ€ldigt god service sĂ„ tack vara han blev inte vĂ„ra nĂ€tter dĂ€r sĂ„ tokiga trots allt.â

It is a boutique hotel in its purest form, perfect for people who want that little extra, the authentic old San Juan experience. Itâs probably less for families with small children and more for couples looking for a luxurious getaway, and golly, itâs perfect for the latter!

âVery modern looking and feel inside. Its close to everything downtown including bars, restaurants and coffee shops. (Donât expect any beautiful views out the windows though, its surrounded by other buildings)â
âThis is a beautiful location with a lot to do. The pool is great, the bar is great, the view is great, the staff is great. Itâs just a good place, plus El Batey is across the street. â
