“Okay room size, quite comfortable bed, good shower, but man was that aircon noisy! It sounded like a jet plane was taking off, some sort of motor generator inside the wall in the room itself was powering the fan and that, unfortunately, brings down my overall rating of this hotel. The breakfast was mostly tasteless with the exception of the pineapple which was good, otherwise everything else available tasted of....nothing at all. Not overly impressed with this place, plus they add on 35 dollars...
“The Hotel Colonial was an interesting and charming place to stay, with an excellent location. The rooms were pristine and well cared for, and the service stood out for being warm and personal. “I stayed with my daughter one night before our cruise, they allowed us to check in early. The room was clean, very nicely decorated, it’s close to La Calle San Sebastián which is really fun. Close to shops and restaurants. Wonderful stay. Thank you Casa Las Ruinas. ”

“Hotellet låg extremt långt utanför stan och det var jättesvårt och dyrt att ta sig runt OM man inte har bil. Stranden var inte alls bra utan man får ta sig ca 30 minuter med bil till en mycket bättre eller gå 15 minuter till en som var helt okej. Killen i receptionen var dock extremt hjälpsam och erbjöd väldigt god service så tack vara han blev inte våra nätter där så tokiga trots allt.”
“Place looks tiny from the outside but inside is spacious with 2 courtyards. Beautiful room with great AC. Included towels and beach towels. Bed was soft. Microwave in common area. Mini fridge in room. Shower pressure was just ok, but that isn’t a deal breaker. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you are going to be coming in early for a cruise, as they will store your luggage and it’s really close to port. Very clean! ”
“Being “perfectly located” in Old San Juan means you’re within walking distance of lots of restaurants, bars, historic sites (forts, plazas, cathedrals), and shops. We didn’t have to rent a car, even we had a early flight and was easy to get a uber at 4am.

“Villa Herencia is ideally located in old San Juan, and the hotel building has a long history, apart from being one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever visited.
It is a boutique hotel in its purest form, perfect for people who want that little extra, the authentic old San Juan experience. It’s probably less for families with small children and more for couples looking for a luxurious getaway, and golly, it’s perfect for the latter!
