Rowling was an early guest.

Martlett Court is a safe, quiet, gated development on a pedestrian only street, it is recognized as a significant part of the Covent Garden Conservation Area and is considered to be a heritage asset.
Built on land acquired from the 11th Duke of Bedford in the 1890's with the intention of housing market traders and their families servicing the world famous and fast expanding Covent Garden Market.
The development has common courtyards and a large landscaped garden.

The original concept of this extremely unique flat was that of a well known restaurant owner who ran several successful and popular eateries in the local area. The apartment is on the 3rd Floor (UK) and is only accessible via a staircase.

There are soundproof blackout curtains as opposed to bedroom doors.

For health reasons, the toilet seat has been designed to be slightly lower than usual, less agile folk may find this a little tricky.
