The Space:
Cold mountain air drifts through the trees as evening settles, and steam rises from the hot tub while the sky darkens over the Shenandoah Valley. Inside, the glow from the wood stove reflects off tall windows, casting a warm, inviting light across the bright two‑story great room. Mornings arrive quiet and bright, coffee in hand, with views that remind you how far you are from the rush of everyday life. Whether you’re gathering around the fire pit or soaking under the stars, the chalet feels like a gentle pause in nature’s rhythm.
Sleeping arrangements
The chalet sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 features a king bed. Bedroom 2 holds a full bed, has no door but remains a quiet, private sleeping space. Bedroom 3 also includes a full bed.
Bathrooms
Two bathrooms serve the home; one is equipped with a bathtub. Bathroom essentials are provided for your stay.
Kitchen & dining
A fully stocked kitchen offers plenty of prep space, coffee, and all the basics needed for simple breakfasts or family dinners. A dining table nearby invites relaxed meals and conversation.
Outdoor living
Step onto the deck to find a propane grill, outdoor seating, and a backyard perfect for fresh‑air moments. The hot tub beckons on cooler evenings, and a fire pit provides a spot for s’mores and evening chats under the open sky.
Family & pet‑friendly comfort
Children’s books, toys, games, a high chair, and a washer‑dryer make longer stays easy for families. The chalet welcomes dogs, but cats are not allowed due to allergies. A dedicated workspace supports remote work when needed.
Location & nearby attractions
The cabin sits about 15 minutes from downtown Luray and the famous Luray Caverns, with easy access to local breweries, restaurants, and shops. Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive are roughly a 30‑minute drive away, offering hiking, scenic overlooks, and year‑round outdoor exploration. Wineries and charming small‑town stops round out the options for day trips.
Water & cleaning notes
Tap water in the area has a yellow‑light brown hue from natural iron and manganese; it is safe to drink, though a slight sulfur smell may appear. We recommend bringing bottled water for peace of mind. Our cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs, and walkways before each arrival, but you may still notice leaves, pollen, or similar natural traces, especially during certain seasons.
Moonlight Ridge blends cozy indoor comforts with the serenity of the Shenandoah Valley, offering a relaxed escape for families, friends, and furry companions.
