No real luxury's are provided but not needed as the beds are comfortable and location is great, walk to what you need, i.e. dining, shopping or other. As for value, yoiu can't beat it. “The place seemed bigger from the photos, there were very little services at the property. No room cleaning, which is not specified when booking. The location is beautiful over the lake, but after that there is not much to do or additional amenities at the property. Another set back is that the meals are fixed to set menu for all of them, which you have to prebook. I suggest they could have additional options, considering there is no place around to go for a lunch or snack in more than 1 hour...

“Me and my wife stayed here one night on our way from Skagway to Anchorage. Nice staff, room fine and bed was good. However, air conditioning was a disaster, after a few hours it was above 32 degrees Celsius about 94 degrees Fahrenheit. When I got up at two o'clock in the night and opened the window, I felt that very hot air was blown in from the wall. They had taped the air hose with silver tape against the wall and in the morning we saw that there were only air valves on the outside”

“The hotel is old and in need of remodeling, but clean. There is no elevator. My room was nice and clean. One thing I noticed was as old as the carpet was, it didn't make my socks or feet black, the carpet didn't feel clammy. Despite being on a corner, the hotel was quiet. I was concerned with the lack of street parking and having to park my car in the tight alley. I had a comfortable night's rest. ”

“Our stay at the lodge was great for our family. The hosts were very accommodating and welcoming (early check in, playpen/crib for our toddler to sleep in, highchair provided). We stayed in the caribou room, with a beautiful view facing directly north which would be PERFECT to catch the northern lights right from your room. “Annorlunda boende. Tyst område fast nära till allting. Rummen (2st) finns på andra våningen medan badrummen ligger på första, varför det kan störa om man behöver använda det på natten då det gamla huset har knarrande golv och trappa. Rummet har inget lås, endast en hake på insidan. Ytterdörren har lås men är beroende av att bägge rumsgästerna låser när de går ut. Noggrann sopsortering. Skön Ikea säng. Kyl och frys och alla möjligheter att laga egen mat.”

“So we came up for a Basketball Tournament and this was the place we booked for our stay. Was pretty easy to find (using my phone) and had great parking, I only had an issue of getting in the front door for a second.
