This was a very disappointing stay, the room in the photo is not the room we stayed in. The customer service was poor- they wouldn't let us check in when we landed saying 9:30pm was to late for check in even though there was no mention of no check in past certain times in the ad. The place was ok- the larger room had a terrible mattress, sleeping on plywood is more comfortable. It was also extremely loud, when you sat on it creaked and made noise that could be heard around the entire place. The door to get into the room was funky and seemed broken- we had to call someone to open it the first night, thank goodness they answered and helped us. The room was unbearably hot like 35 celsius hot and when we messaged asking for them to turn the heat off they said to close the one radiator valve. This helped minimally but there are multiple poles around the room that radiate heat constantly and will burn you if touched. The place was relatively clean but I would not stay here again. The ad is very misleading and hides information about the location, building, and policies. I would spend a little more money to stay at another apartment building or hotel instead of this one.

Pros; - fantastic value for a 2 bed apt!! - close to Central Park and steps away from subway. Easy to get anywhere quickly. - cool but a bit gritty neighborhood. - amazing little coffee shop downstairs - loved the coffee and amazing pastries. Cons: - communication was spotty. Even though I updated when we were in the Lyft with exact arrival time, no one met us. I had to send several messages and we still ended up waiting 10 minutes outside with our luggage in the cold before they showed up the keys - the apartment was unbearably hot ((when the temp was in the 20s outside!). Several texts went unanswered so we turned all 3 AC units on. (When we saw the property manager in person the next day and complained- she was very nice and helped us turn the radiator off.) - no instructions provided on how to check out and return keys (finally sent a note about leaving them on the counter) - front bedroom bed is extremely hard - like sleeping on a board. And I like a hard mattress:-). - limited supplies for 4 people : 4 small towels and one hand towel. 3 forks, 2 hangers (in the whole apt!). No dish soap. A little restocking would go a long way -make sure you pay attention to the very strict arrival policy. We were fine but if our flight had been delayed another 30 min - we would have arrived late and given a $75 fee! And wouldn’t have been able to check in at all after 7! In spite of the above minor shortcomings - it was a pretty darn good stay for the price!

Nous avons été bien accueilli. L'appartement était propre et équipé de l'essentiel. Il est très bien situé. Le seuil "hic" c'est qu'il est bruyant (bruits de la rue + voisins du dessus). Mais globalement c'est une très bon rapport qualité/prix

Stayed here for 3 nights and only gave us 4 towels (mind you, we’re 4 guests). When I asked one of the staff for more towels they said that 4 towels is the max they give out. I had to insist more for them to finally compromise on 2 extra towels ( they never gave it to us). In one of those nights we got lock out of the property because the lock was malfunctioning, had to call the staff at 12am.

This 2 bedroom - kitchenette - bathroom property is perfect for up to 4 people who are happy to reside in their own basic private apartment. It is steps from the 6 line subway station with many convenience stores and a good quality coffee shop right nearby. I would recommend it to people who are able-bodied (2 flights of narrow stairs) who are accustomed to city living. If you want a concierge, fresh towels daily, and a fussy hotel experience, this won't be the place for you. If you like to live like a local, come home to a private room with your own roku tv, an efficient kitchen for cold drinks, snacks and quick meals, and are not bothered by standard city street sounds and radiator noise, you will feel at home. Our host arrived promptly and gave us all the info we needed for our week-long stay. It is an older building but we found everything to be in good order and clean.

The room and building were as advertised and its location was perfect with all amenities within a short walk. Subway station basically out the front door in on the main N/S line on Manhattans east side. Would definitely recommend to others and wouldn’t hesitate to book this place again.

Other guests are correct, this place was clean and a great option for the money. Clean firm beds, clean bathroom, I was really happy. We had two bedrooms, one with two windows facing the street. The shades aren’t black-out shades so bring an eye mask and ear buds if you want to try to sleep later. We just slept in the second bedroom which was nice and dark.

Managers don't check messages--almost locked out

I twice emailed the property to say I did not have a way to text them but would arrive at a specific time--but when I arrived the door was locked and no one waiting for me. A person in the cafe nextdoor contacted someone for me.Then when I returned to my unit that night the door would not open.Three other guests at hotel also tried the lock and were unable to open door. They texted property manager and also left a phone message for manager but NO ONE RESPONDED until 3 pm the next afternoon. Luckily I was finally able to jiggle the lock until it opened but as far as property manager knew I was locked out all night. Clearly managers do not regularly check messages. I feel like hotel should refund me for at least the night that as far as managers knew I was locked out.

An important aspect that the apartment fully checked was the cleanliness: it was way better than what you usually get for a 3-star hotel - of the same price or more expensive - in the USA (from my personal experience). The apartment’s price was rather affordable for 5 days. In case the host’s time isn’t flexible, keep in mind that you must check-in at 2pm and check-out in the morning of your last visit day, at 10am - just a “fyi” in case you only leave Manhattan in the evening, so you’re prepared to walk around the city with your carry-on (or to reserve a spot to store your luggage somewhere else, since this location does not provide such services) prior to departure. Even though the apartment is located uptown, having the subway so close makes traveling to the tourist attractions downtown be a total breeze. During my stay, at the beginning of September, the area around the property was pretty quiet.

O imóvel é ótimo, muito bem conservado e confortável, fica ao lado de uma estação de metrô e é muito fácil sair de lá p/ qualquer lugar de NY. O Central Parque fica a apenas 3 quadras e tem alguns mercados por perto. Com certeza eu voltaria a me hospedar nesse imóvel!👍

Les plus : Situé à 100 m du métro ce qui est très pratique ; Un supermarché à proximité ; 2 chambres séparées ce qui est appréciable quand on est 4. Les moins : la literie (très dures donc pas très agréable quand on n’est pas habitué) ; l’espace cuisine pas très confortable (peu d’espace, chaises hautes pas agréables et peu d’ustensiles - nous n’avions que 3 fourchettes pour 4). Un plus petit canapé et une vraie table et des chaises auraient été plus appréciés. Le quartier n’est pas super mais nous n’avons jamais eu de sensation d’insécurité. Et enfin merci pour l’accueil qui a été agréable.

APT was clean and had all amenities for kitchen, except can opener, and like everyone else stated the back bedroom mattress is basically a piece of plywood - stiff and hard to sleep on. Also, the back bedroom window LG AC is loud. Other things – the kitchen breaker keeps tripping and they need a bigger kitchen waste basket. Note that this is really not a hotel - there is no front desk. It can be challenge to reach the property manager. The surrounding area is Harlem. The subway #6 is 50 feet away so that was good. Finally, they request you checkout by 10:00 AM on check out day.

The hotel gives the impression of their cleanliness, but during my stay I encountered an infestation of flies and ants. During the hottest days in June 2025, the hotel supplied 1 towel for my guest and myself to use for an 8 day stay, no extra bed linen, and when I requested additional essentials, my calls were ignored. I subsequently contacted Expedia and advised them of the nest of ants that invaded the health of my guest. That same blue sofa in the photo to be exact, was covered with ants when my guest went to turn off the ac. They were bitten multiple times and after 3 days, we cancelled, the ant incident being the third day. I submitted a video of the ants on the sofa to Expedia as well as to the hotel, providing proof of my early departure. I requested a full refund and the hotel asked to not be contacted further. After several days, Expedia contacted me stating that the hotel denied the presence of ants and currently a full refund remains pending. Worst Vacation EVER!! Do Not spend your money here and bypass this dump.
