This apartment is lovely and in a great location in Chatelet Les Halles. However, it is situated directly above a club that blasts loud music until around midnight. The windows are not insulated and the sound reverberates throughout the apartment. The voices of people in the courtyard entering and exiting the club can also be clearly heard in the apartment and make it difficult to sleep. When we raised this concern, the company initially said that the noise was coming from outside the building but then admitted that the club was in the building but said that the apartment is “well-insulated” and they have never had complaints about noise. They indicated that their manager would contact us the following day but no one ever did. We were disappointed that (1) the listing did not disclose the existence of the club and the attendant late-night noise from it, (2) the company initially attempted to deny that the noise came from the building at all, (3) the company incorrectly said that the unit was well-insulated when the windows are single pane and insulated, and (4) the company management failed to contact us or offer any solution such as moving us to another apartment. In our view, this apartment is not suitable for anyone who seeks a quiet evening or wishes to get to bed before midnight.

The apartment was newly remodeled and nicely appointed, but the AC wasn’t great (never reached target temp) and it was brutally hot the week we were there.The team was very responsive to several texts and fixed a broken sink same day, although they never did replace the broken fan.We got lucky that there was no comedy show below us the week we were there because of the World Cup, but that’s a very real issue if there’s a show as it goes until midnight. Overall a good stay and location near the Chatelet metro but not the best value for what we paid. Final comment is there is significant construction going on in the building and all I suggested is that they let guests know that you can’t enter from Rue de Rivoli. We had a 10 minute walk around with our suitcases just to get to the entrance of the building. Their response was ‘construction is out of control’ which is a lame excuse. They absolutely should let guests know as it appears this will be going on for the next year.
