Overall the apartment did the job for our Paris stay. We had some issues with obtaining entry instructions. The building had a major fire the day we were site seeing. Grateful our items and the apartment were not damaged. Wires, debris, and loose wires in out entrance upon our return. However, over the apartment was nice and clean and had the amenities we needed. The street and complex gate was very noisey, not much sleep had. Good location just a few mishaps for our visit.

There were no closets, no hangers, for clothing. No place for suitcases. No dish towels to wipe dishes, and bedrooms were very noisy at night. Need better windows to cut out sound.And complicated to get key.

Internet didn’t work at all. The host was very responsive and worked hard to rectify it. The layout is odd - would not be safe for anyone with an orthopedic condition or small children, literally a gap where a child could fall down where there is a spiral stairs. Noisy, very noisy street with bars. All night long partying and yelling. We even witnessed an assault in progress between inebriated people at 3 am. People literally defecating and urinating on the street as we walked by. Not the fault of the host but people who stay should be aware it is not quiet at night. Host was great.

The apartment is wonderful and a great location! We loved our stay. Would highly recommend. A note that picking up and returning the key requires venturing to another location that is a five minute walk away - not a problem but slightly more challenging with luggage and small children, if you have them along, so plan in advance for that.

The communication and management of the property was HORRIBLE. VRBO sends you to Belvilla which sends you to Checkmyguest. No clear lines of communication when things arise. Beware the check in process is lengthy and need to walk .3 miles to get the key. The apartment itself is great but dangerous for small children, we had to make barriers so our toddlers wouldnt die. Neighborhood is excellent and the apartment is fantastic for adults and older children.

Great location. The apartment was sparsely furnished. Be sure to buy toliet paper and soap for the sinks in the bathrooms before arrival. I had contacted the host at least a dozen times with NO return message. We paid for early check in time which didn’t happen…..not sure why however they certainly took my money. Now I need to “chase down” a refund. Also just an FYI….where you pick up the key to the apartment is different than the apartment location. VRBO has always been very responsive and accountable for the many years we have used it. So I don’t know if being in Europe was the the problem. Will never use them abroad again. It was lovely being in Paris!!

Check in details were missing some info and it took calling 4 different numbers before finally reaching someone who could get us in to the apartment, but even then it was confusing which apartment it was once inside courtyard as there was NOT the white square with an apartment number that the agent insisted should be there. Took us more than a half hour standing out in the street with our luggage to get in the property. Once that was resolved, the apartment was quite nice.

As described, great location, comfortable beds, could do with some additional amenities (toilet paper, soap, hand/face towels, dish towels etc). The layout was small and the spiral staircase a bit hard to navigate but this was noted in the listing.

Paris Stay for a Family of 5

While Paris is known for small hotel rooms and apartments, this was much smaller than expected based on the description. There is not a single closet so we had to leave suitcases out the whole stay. With 5 people, this made it feel like an obstacle course. The living room is too small to pull out the sofa bed. The spiral staircase is so tight that we literally could not get a large suitcase down the stairs. In the downstairs, the bathroom is part of the room with no privacy doors between the bed and bath or toilet, nor is there a door that closes it off from the upstairs. The upstairs bedrooms are extremely cramped and the street noise was really loud ALL NIGHT LONG. All beds are double beds, not queen size. There are zero extras (no shampoo, no extra blankets, no guest book for FAQs). Additionally, the overall condition of this property is run-down. The property management company was very difficult to get responses from with even the easiest of questions. Keys are picked up at a separate location from a lockbox with no human present. The only time they were helpful was at the very end of our stay when we were allowed to check our bags, which we appreciated very much. This was at a hotel that had a lobby full of people working, who all seemed very pleasant. Where all of these people were at check-in or when we had other questions before our stay is a mystery.

It was in a fantastic neighborhood! Close to bus stops and metro, easily walkable to the Lux gardens. We knew it was going to be tiny going into it but it was hilariously small. Absolutely worked for a long weekend but any longer and our kids would have revolted. The management company was very helpful with an issue we had with our air conditioning but had to be pushed a bit. Pick up and drop off of the keys was a huge pain. Had to walk and go into another building to get keys from a locked safe. Traveling with kids is hard enough, that step coming/going just added to it.

Wonderful time in Paris

The neighborhood is amazing! The apartment was great except the drain to the shower clogged and became unusable. Tried contacting the host with no success. Otherwise, great apartment and amazing neighborhood.
