In warm weather, NOT RECOMMENDED. The listing says "portable air conditioner" but fails to mention that the AC is not set up correctly. You only learn this upon arrival at the apartment, after you've paid the fee. My misfortune was to arrive in the midst of a severe Paris heat wave, only to discover that, in the absence of windows opening to the outside, the owner had extended the exhaust hose from one portable AC through an OPEN glass door to the small terrace beyond. When I objected that this would let all the hot air from outside INTO the room, the owner said that leaving the door open was the only way the AC would work and that I should close the curtains around it to "keep the cool air in." Despite his advice, when I went into the bedroom I discovered that the second portable AC had no exhaust hose attached and the door that opened to the terrace was closed. When I extended my hand behind the AC I felt a stream of hot air venting into the room! I told the owner this arrangement was unacceptable, especially on a 93 degree day, and left the apartment immediately. I found a hotel nearby, but the owner and his company, Studio Prestige. have continued to reject my demands for a refund, maintaining that the ACs were working properly. I have disputed this transaction with VRBO and the issuer of my credit card, and the outcome is still pending.
