Jeanne surprised us with how beautiful the home was. She went through all instructions and bought roses for the Livingroom. Everything within walking distance. Loved the market that is there Thursday and Sunday. Plenty of French and Asian food close by.

Girls trip

6 women total, from all over the US, converged for a girls trip. The apartment was perfect. Perfect location, clean, comfortable, and the outdoor market next door on Sunday was AMAZING. I would love to stay there again in the future. The host was lovely and helpful.

Olympics in Paris

We had a great stay in Paris for the Olympics. The location of the apartment was fantastic to explore the city and get anywhere very easily. The hand-overs were super smooth and well organized. The apartment is as beautiful as marketed at booking. The view from the living room to the Place de Bastille is awesome.

Great Trip, Location and Host!

Lovely home exactly as it was depicted on the site. It had everything we needed to enjoy our trip. Excellent location, making everything we wanted to see and do in Paris completely accessible. Jeanne was a great host, as was Paul and Sophie, who met us upon arrival to assure we settled in well. Such a great experience!

Just Go!

Our family of 5 stayed for 5 days and we had an amazing trip. We just left this morning and we were sad to go. The flat was perfect for our needs: excellent location, maybe 15 steps from the metro to the front door. The view was incredible, comfortable beds, very responsive hosts and several delicious bakeries in each direction… just go!

A total delight

I stayed at Jeanne’s lovely, classic apartment for 6 days with my husband and two 7-year-olds. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the views of the Place de la Bastille and surrounding boulevards are picture perfect. There was storage space in each bedroom to put away clothes, and we liked how the rooms feel lived in and full of family memories without being at all cluttered. We ended up preparing several meals there, and apart from missing a serving dish or two, the kitchen is well-equipped and easy to navigate (and flooded with beautiful sunlight). The kids quickly got to know the local metro station (one entrance is right outside the front door), and it was easy to travel all over the city. It’s also a short, charming walk to local bakeries and markets, the Marais, Place des Vosges, Canal St. Martin, and the Seine. Jeanne was communicative and friendly, and we would happily return.

Ein Juwel in Paris

Die Wohnung ist ein Juwel. Ich habe noch nie eine solch schöne und gutausgestattete Wohnung als Ferienwohnung erlebt. Es ist ein Palast! Hinzukommt, dass sie in Mitten von Paris liegt und alles nahezu fußläufig zu erreichen ist. Und wenn man mit der Metro fahren möchte, findet man diese direkt vor der Tür. Der Blick auf die Bastille ist unbezahlbar und trotz des Verkehrs ist diese Wohnung ruhig. Wir hörten kaum Straßenlärm. Und die Gastgeberin ist auch ein Jewel. Immer zu erreichen und schnelle geantwortet. Sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Fazit: Es war ein rundum wundervoller Aufenthalt und für die Kinder, die das erste Mal in Paris waren, ein unvergessliches Erlebnis...und für uns Erwachsene natürlich auch! :)

Amazing Location!

Jeanne‘s home has an amazing location with direct view of Place de la Bastille. The Metro access is literally just in front of the house and the area has a ton of lovely, independent cafes and restaurants.

Great location

Lovely apartment with character! Metro station is literally right outside the door of the building. Very easy to get anround. Lots of places to eat right in the neighborhood. Incredible view. There is only one toilet but this was not a problem. Everything was neat and clean with the exception of a number of plates and glasses that were dirty.

Beautiful Parisian Apartment

We stayed in this lovely spot for four nights in late August. The apartment is gorgeous and full of plants. A stone's throw from the Bastille metro, it was easy to get around. We loved the market on Thursday and Sunday mornings. We found a local boulangerie for daily coffee and croissants - is there anything better than that? The location was a short walk from the Marais and Ile de la Cite. It was plenty large for our family of five. Please note: there is only one toilet but there are two showers. There is a washing machine but no dryer. A couple of quibbles: 1. One reason we booked this unit is because it had air conditioning, something few Parisian apartments have that we were seeking in August. The AC unit was only in the living room and did not work very well. There were fans in every bedroom but it was still quite hot. 2. The WIFI also only worked (well) in the living room. 3. There was very little space to unpack clothes. We made do but additional space would have been nice. Quibbles aside, we loved the apartment overall and would be happy to return if our family is back in Paris!

Quintessential Parisian Experience!

The location of this property is ideal: the Bastille area has great metro options and is very lively. There are too many sites within 20 mins to name. The apartment itself is well-appointed. Since the host and family live there, there was limited closet space but that didn't really bother us. Very highly recommended!

Great location, but no room to unpack

The location of the property was great. The metro is literally right out the door and the market they have on Sunday and Thursday is fantastic - it is steps away. I will say I was quite disappointed to find out that this someone’s full time house that is filled to the brim…. every drawer cupboard and closet jammed packed with personal belongings that are quite disorganized and spill out if you open them. We have stayed at many rental properties and even if people live there, they clear out most or all of the belongings to leave a clean, organized and tidy space for you to unpack and settle in. There was one VERY tiny closet in one kids’ bedroom that was empty. We were a family of five and there was no where to put any of our belongings. We had to live out of suitcases that we had to step over in each of the rooms and hallways because there was no where to put anything. Like I said the location was great, but we never felt settled and it was strange to be living amidst all the owners belongings.

Lovely French Flat

Our family of 6 had a wonderful time in Jeanne’s flat. Jeanne was so kind and accommodating, we felt extremely welcome in her home. The bunk beds were so appreciated with 4 kids and not typically easy to find. The rooms were spacious, the flat was clean and the location top notch, highly recommend for families or groups that are ok sleeping in bunk beds!!

Normandy Adventure

I gave this apartment 5 stars as it is very clear what to expect. We were 5 adults stopping in Paris on our way north. Bastille is a great location and this apartment is right there in the action. Jeanne was very prompt in her responses and very accommodating for holding our luggage checking in and checking out. The welcome champagne & chips was a nice touch. Master bedroom faces away from the busy street and was quiet. The other bedrooms from what I gather were very noisy and we were there on a weekend which probably didn't help. 2 tall guys had a hard time using the one bathroom shower, veery tight. None of these things would stop me from renting this apartment again, just info. thank you Jeanne for all your help!

The location was a dream

We have three college age kids and this was a PERFECT French apartment. I loved everything about it! It is quirky in layout but spacious. I loved being able to throw open the windows and see the action down below. There is a fantastic market on Thursdays and Sundays RIGHT outside the flat. It was a tish noisy with the windows open and then when you close the windows it's super quiet. The beds were comfy and the host was responsive. I would say the only kind of weird thing is that it is a home when people aren't renting it. She did a great job of turning into a rental but it is clearly a family home when not rented. I would love to come back here again. It is the quintessential Parisian experience.
