We stayed at this hotel as a family of five. While the hotel is beautiful and clean, there were several things that made our stay disappointing. The hotel is not as close to the train station as it appears. The walk is uphill and can be quite difficult, especially with children and luggage. The shuttle bus is convenient, but it runs on a fixed schedule. If you miss it, you have to wait for the next one, which is not very flexible. The biggest disappointment was the check-in experience. We had been assigned a room with only three single beds for five people. We were willing to pay extra to upgrade to a larger room, but the reception staff refused to help or even discuss any options. They simply told us to contact Hotels.com/Expedia instead. We also asked about cancelling the reservation, but they would not provide any information and again referred us elsewhere. The breakfast was overpriced for the selection offered. There were not many options, and the dining staff repeatedly came to our table before 10:00 a.m. to remind us that breakfast would soon end and that we should hurry to get more food. This created unnecessary stress and made what should have been a relaxing breakfast feel rushed. Overall, the hotel has nice facilities, but the lack of flexibility and customer service, especially for families, was disappointing.
