Elegant, tyst och rymlig lägenhet med stort vardagsrum välutrustat med antika möbler och målningar, berikad av veranda med vacker utsikt, två sovrum med två lyxiga badrum, komplett med toalett, handfat, bidé, dusch, terrass med bord och stolar. Varje rum har utsikt över en balkong, inklusive köket, beboelig. Målen är värdefulla.

Lägenheten ligger vid Gianicolo, mellan Trastevere och Vatikanen, nås till fots eller med kort bussresa (44, 75, 870), tåg, taxi (storstation mindre än 100 meter), i det eleganta distriktet av Monte Verde Vecchio. Utmärkt mataffär och affärer i samma gata, utomhusmarknad i parallellgatan. Eleganta barer och konditorier, utmärkta restauranger och takeaways i närheten (50-200 meter).
Tre historiska parker är grannskapet i grannskapet: Gianicolo Park, genom vilken du kan nå Vatikanen med en promenad från den underbara utsikten över Rom; Villa Sciarra, som donerades till Mussolini som gav den till det romerska folket, Villa Pamphili, Poppers sommarboende från 1500-talet. Villan kallas "Il Vascello" på grund av sin form, har lämnats nästan helt förstört med tecknen på fransmännen av General Oudinot. Från Janiculum Arch, i Piazzale Aurelio, är Via Aurelia Antica född, och lite längre fram är den tidiga kristna basilikan San Pancrazio (femte århundradet efter Kristus), med katakomberna ännu inte helt utforskade. I en del av distriktet har gatorna behållit de latinska namnen (via Aurelia, via Vitellia, via Fonteiana, piazza Ottavilla, via del clivo Rutario).

L'appartement de Maurizio est d'une propreté irréprochable, spacieux, très confortable, on s'y sent vraiment bien. Il est idéalement situé près du parc du Janicule qui offre une vue magnifique sur Rome. Maurizio nous attendait à la gare à notre arrivée et nous a très gentiment proposé de nous faire visiter le quartier. Notre séjour ne pouvait mieux se passer, merci encore pour votre accueil Maurizio!

The apartment is absolutely beautiful - and has an Italian soul, with beautiful furniture and decor. The location is excellent for local eateries (we recommend Golino's and Tutto Qua) and convenient shops, and easy access to Trastevere and beyond. Maurizio is a very kind and generous host - his tour of the locale was a great way to get an overview of the area plus very useful information on being a tourist in Rome. Staying in this apartment was one of the pleasures of being in Rome.

Wir haben schon oft Ferien in Rom gemacht und jetzt das zweite Mal bei Maurizio gewohnt. Die Wohnung ist nicht nur gut ausgestattet, sondern hat vor allem eine gute Lage. Kommt man vom Ausflug zurück, hält der Bus vor der Tür.Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Und es gibt einen Markt zwei Straßen weiter! Wenn man römisches Leben ein wenig abseits der Touristenströme genießen will, ist die Wohnung genau richtig. Und dennoch ist man in 10 Minuten im Ausgehviertel Trastevere!Maurizio ist ein wirklich guter Gastgeber!!!

Family Trip to Rome

We can’t say enough great things about this property! Maurizio is an outstanding host and his home is wonderful. Away from the hustle and bustle of central Rome but easy access to all the sights by bus and foot. A lovely neighbourhood where you can head to the local bar for an espresso and cornetto in the morning, and local market for some fresh produce, and truly feel like a Roman! And the apartment is massive - we travelled with our three sons (young adult and teenagers) and each had their own bed - plus room to spare. And Maurizio thinks of everything - coffee, laundry and dishwashing detergent, plush towels, fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, lovely balconies all around, and a beautiful piano and artwork throughout. Of travelling with a family I highly recommend this lovely home. Grazie tanto Maurizio!

It was our first time to Rome and this place was very close to trastervere where we would go at night and it was amazing. Had a bus stop right outside but we didn’t use it but would take you to all the big monuments. Maurizio was amazing and drove us to the train when we were leaving

We Wouldn't Wish For More!

This is a large, beautiful apartment in quiet Monteverde Vecchio, uncrowded by tourists, yet only a short walk to the nightlife of Trastevere and the foodie spots of Testaccio. The patisserie across the street was a lively and elegant spot for a cappuccino and cornetto, and several restuarants within a 5 minute walk were top notch.The apartment itself has everything you might need. Both bedrooms have large, comfortable beds. The living space has an old world feel with its 17th century paintings, a piano, and beautiful decorations along with a extensive and fascinating library. The sunroom is marvelous on a cool morning and the terrace was perfect for a glass of wine in the evenings!Perhaps best of all was Maurizio, our accomodating and friendly host. Maurizio grew up in this apartment, and retired from his career as a physician nearby, so he knows and loves the neighborhood. He took us in his car on a tour of the area, with interesting insights into the historical spots on the Janiculum Hill as well as the best places to shop and dine. Thankyou, Maurizio for hosting us for this wonderful stay!

3 Weeks in Italy

I really enjoyed the area! I would walk down to the pantheon which took about one hour and then taxi back in the evening. The store for groceries it’s right down the street. The farmers market was so close that I went almost daily for fruit. The café’s are within walking distance. If you are a coffee drinker you will not find any Keurig to use in the morning; just the one cup at a time stove top pot. No toaster as well, but all in all, I enjoyed staying here.

Home away from home

Our stay was great! Our host (Maurizio) was wonderful. He was so thoughtful and responsive to our needs. Upon arriving in Rome he picked us up at the Trastevere Train Station and drove us to our apartment. After we freshened up he took us in his car on a tour of the area showing us all the significant sites and he gave us a thorough account of the history behind what we were seeing. On another occasion we were unable to get a taxi to our tour at the Colosseum and he drove us there. Maurizio is a very kind man and really interested in his guests! His apartment is not ultra modern but a true reflection of Italian decor with interesting furniture and beautiful paintings. My thanks to him for making our trip an enjoyable experience.

Beautiful quiet area

My husband and i really enjoyed our stay here. There was a market and a bunch of restaurants nearby. All amenities worked great. There was even a diffuser attachment for the blow dryer (curly hair girls will understand!). Maurizio set up a private driver for us to and from the airport-super helpful! Only negative was the upstairs neighbor pounding on the floor above our bedroom at 12AM. Later found out it was because we had the air conditioner running. We were told we cannot have the air running from 8pm-8am. So if you are planning to visit during hot months keep this in mind!

Best Place to Stay

We had the absolute best stay at this apartment. Milena and Maurizio are amazing. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and went above and beyond to make sure everything worked out for our time there. Maurizio picked us up at the train and gave us a tour of the area. The apartment is very clean, comfortable, spacious, with the best views from the three balconies, in a great area with cute shops, and restaurants. Trastavere Review

Our host Maurizio was very accomodating. He picked us up at the train station and dropped us off at the apartmenr. He let us settle in then returned to give us a tour of the area and some history. He responded to our questions very quickly. Maurizio was very helpful. The apartment was very spacious and well appointed. Bus stop (#75) to main attractions is located right outside the apartment. Very ideal. We would recommend this place to anyone who would like to stay here.

Bel appartement, très bien équipé

Nous avons passé un mois dans cet appartement situé dans un quartier calme du Janicule. L'appartement est spacieux, climatisé et bien équipé, très agréable pour se reposer après les balades dans Rome. Au début du séjour nos hôtes nous ont fait découvrir le quartier et nous ont très gentiment donné toutes les indications utiles pour faire nos courses ou nous déplacer à Rome. Bon emplacement et accueil parfait

Bonjour Milena et Maurizio sont venus nous chercher à la gare de trastevere et c'est avec beaucoup de bienveillance qu ils nous ont montré le quartier , les arrêts de bus, les restaurants sympas du quartier. Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce quartier qui etait calme propre et sécurisé. L apparemment était tres grand pour deux mais nous a donné envi de revenir avec nos enfants et nos parents âgés car il y a un ascenseur et assez d espaces pour que chacun y trouve son compte. La propreté etait impeccable et la petite terrasse dans la chambre tres bien exposé pour profiter du vent du soir. Nous y avons dîner avec grand plaisir. Cet endroit a ete parfait nous le recommandons vivement. Grazzie mille Milena e Maurizio pour l accueil et les bons conseils. We recommand this appartement because of the situation , not inside Rome but not to long. With the bus 75 or 44 we re near the center in few minutes. It was the place to be, thanks to Milena and Maurizio so cute and sympathics to their good advise. Proprety perfect, situation ok all was perfect

fantastisch appartement, geweldige host

Het appartement van Maurizio overtrof onze verwachtingen, het was net alsof we in een binnenstapten. Het huis is indrukwekkend met haar kunst en grote boekencollectie, de slaapkamers zijn zeer comfortabel met ieder een eigen badkamer. Met de bushalte direct voor de deur, hoef je na een lange dag in de stad niet ver meer te lopen. In de buurt zijn goede winkels en restaurants en het wij vonden het heerlijk om in een rustiger deel van de stad te verblijven. Het verblijf wordt helemaal af gemaakt door de ontzettend attente host Maurizio. Hij geeft zeer goede informatie en was beschikbaar voor al onze vragen, hij heeft onze reis echt een extraatje gegeven, we voelden ons zeer welkom in Rome en zijn appertement. We komen heel vraag weer naar Rome en zouden dan ook heel graag weer in het appartement van Maurizio verblijven, we raden het zeer aan.

Wonderful!

This is a lovely apartment in an interesting and highly desirable neighborhood. Maurizio was such a great host; he could not have been more welcoming nor accessible! He met us when we arrived and not only did he orient us to the apartment, he gave us a driving tour of the neighborhood, including information about the history of Rome and the area. We felt comfortable and at home in the apartment, and enjoyed our time there.

The apartment is just as described and shown in the pictures, no hidden traps! The location is great for getting an impression of how Romans live away from the tourist tracks. Many shopping opportunities and eateries in the vicinity. Dolci desideri and Pizza Barilli are also great, don't leave without tasting their Cannolli and Supplí, respectively! The apartment is also ideally located for public transport. The apartment is just as shown in the pictures. Lots of character. Very well equipped. If you speak Italian and like Asterix or Topolino and Paperino, be warned that you may spend your vacation without leaving the building... The kitchen has a large gas range and electric oven and fully allows you to cater for yourself should you so wish. The bathroom we had was functional as well as having nice little tiles with a mother-of-pearl effect. Thanks to the very friendly cleaner, the apartment was spotlessly clean. As for the host, we can add very little to what has already been said in the other reviews. Maurizio is an extremely generous and flexible host. He gave as valuable tips without crowding us in any way. He is a gentleman, what more needs to be said? On no account miss his tour of the surrounding area. And if you are in the least interested in literature or the Italian language, get him to tell you about G.G. Belli and sonnets.

Roman holiday!

A wonderful host and a beautiful apartment, what a great start to a Roman holiday. Our host Maurizio, took us on personal tour of the neighbourhood including historical sites and eating places on checkin, he also gave detailed instructions regarding workings of the apartment. Bus 75 is at the gate which takes to the Termini railway station or you can connect with other buses around Rome. The apartment is in a lovely neighbourhood, with supermarkets, restaurants, takeaway etc close by. The apartment was as per listing and well equipped.

Easter in Rome

A lovely, elegant, spacious and light apartment in a quiet, safe neighbourhood. The host was extremely helpful and informative and even helped us find somewhere local for dinner the first night as we arrived late in the evening. The buses are easy to use, but we liked to walk, it's a great way to experience the city. The route up Janiculum Hill and over to the Vatican only takes around 30 minutes and is very pretty.

Excellent!

Maurizio is a wonderful host and the apartment is spacious with large comfortable rooms. The neighborhood is safe with all the necessary conveniences in easy walking distance - grocery store, pharmacies, restaurants, bakeries, etc. Getting around was very easy. The railway station is nearby. There is a bus stop and a taxi stand right outside the apt building. We chose to walk into the city most days for site seeing. We did 27,000 steps one day, it is a steep hike up to Trastvere from down by the Tiber so its good exercise too. We would definitely return to this location. Maurizio is very generous with his time, he went out of his way to be certain we got what we needed. At one point I was at the grocery store and couldn't find nail clippers, I actually ran into him there and he was able to direct me to where I needed to buy them (they are sold at pharmacies not grocery stores). Feel like you live in Rome

…the bus stop is right in front of the door and makes getting to Rome very easy. The local restaurants were delightful and grocery stores abound to get supplies. There is a taxi stand within one block. I enjoy walking and liked the hilly walk to and from all parts of Rome and Trastevere. I could go on and on about how live-able Maurizio’s place is. His family home has everything we needed (I appreciate hangers, closets and drawer space when I unpack for a week). When you read all the rave reviews from everyone about what a phenomenal host he is, they are not exaggerating. Thank you Maurizio for all of your kindness and your spectacular “neighborhood tour”. I welcomed, hosted, safe and cared for. The view of Rome and the Vatican city from this neighborhood is breathtaking. We even got to enjoy a full moon rising over the city from the neighborhood park/overlook area.

Giancolo getaway

A real family, home, elegant and comfortable. There was even a piano. Wifi good. Two friends and two teens, perfect space could be made even larger on request. En-suite bathroom. Lovely roof-terraces, good location, and the Maurizio was really attentive and helpful. He helped to guide us to the real Roma . I really liked the area quiet but good transport and local shops, Cafes et cetera. Will be returning I hope

An amazing apartment and Maurizio is a gem!

We based our decision to book with Maurizio based on the amazing reviews we read for his rental apartment and he more than lived up to our expectations. First, he began communicating with us soon after booking (which was almost a year prior to our travel). A few weeks before our trip he sent us so much information on Rome, Roman culture and articles of great interest. Maurizio was so kind to allow us to check in a few hours early. He gave such perfect instructions that were easy to follow and very specific tips on not getting scammed by Taxi’s. We followed his instructions and waited for us outside the apartment. We immediately felt like we were being greeted by a friend! The pictures on his posting (although beautiful) can’t fully show the beauty of the apartment. It was so much more amazing than we had expected. It is huge and unbelievably gorgeous. It has everything you could ask for and more. The beds are very comfortable and the balconies are a dream. After we checked-in, he said he’d be back in a few hours to show us around. Maurizio spent almost 3 hours driving us around the local area and telling us so much history it was unbelievable. What a kind and wonderful man who shared his passion for Roma with us is something we’ll never forget. I wish I could write more I'm running out of space. Our overall advice – book Maurizio’s apartment! You will not be disappointed!

Just like home

I stayed for just under two weeks and after a few days it felt like I was part of the neighborhood. The host gave me a tour of the area, which was as good as any tour in Rome. It was ideal to walk out the front door and be able to walk across the street for coffee, dessert or any other meal Between the Quattro Venti train station, buses 75 and 44 along with being able to catch a cab, the location is ideal. It gets you out of the crowds in the city, yet you can get anywhere in 20 minutes. The apartment and the host receive my highest recommendations.
