Perfect place to stay in the center of Rome

Family of 5 stayed for 3 nights prior to a cruise. Location cannot be beat. Everything you want to see is within 1-1.5 mile walk and the streets are safe and upbeat. Owners are responsive and can provide great recommendations for restaurants, sites, and can book rides to and from where you are going. Apartment is on the 4th floor and stairs are the most convenient way to get up and down so make sure you can walk. Room could use painting and more comfortable furniture. The dining room table chairs are uncomfortable and if you are using the pull out sofa, there is no other place to sit after a long day. Master bath is really cool and the place has character and will add to the overall experience of visiting Rome. Did I mention the convenience of the location? Excellent food, gelato, coffee, shopping, and more within blocks and at every turn in this neighborhood, you will find a jaw dropping church, fountain, Piazza, and historical site.
About a 20 minute walk

This apartment was very good for our family of 5 (children ages 16, 19, 21). It is in a very central location...we bought the metro pass and only used 1 day to travel to Forums / Colosseum area. The apartment itself in on the 4th floor (5th floor if you count the first floor as floor 1). This is a small elevator that is best for 1 person or luggage. We were glad to have that since there is a lot of stairs to climb. This a two bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment with one separate bedroom as one bedroom and the loft as the second bedroom. The first bedroom had a bathroom accessed via a stone spiral staircase. It could be precarious to navigate in the dark during the night. The other bathroom can be used for those middle of the night bathroom breaks. The beds were relatively thin and the bedding was very basic. There is two pillows per double bed, with no extras. A request was made for more pillows and there was no response to this request. There are two AC units in the apartment, which were mostly effective during our stay (it is hot in Rome in June). The second one in the main area appeared to stop working on the last night, so hopefully that will be addressed. Both bathrooms were nice, the showers were good by European standards. Not squatting in the tub with a hand-held shower head as in some other places. The apartment, while clean, could use some updating. The furniture was pretty old. Overall, we would stay here again for the location and especially if the bedding was updated

Most incredible location and apartment. We are a family of 6 from Austin, TX - my wife and I had a king bed and room and bathroom to ourselves and our 4 kids split btwn a big sleeper sofa (for the 9 and 11 year old) and another king bed for the 16 & 18 yr olds (in the loft). They had their own bathroom. The apartment has 2 mini split ACs which cool down fast and the walls are so old and thick/solid that noise is not an issue. If we go back to Rome we will definitely stay here again. Oh, and the host met us and walked us through everything during check in and offered to help us find rides from the airport.

Excellent apartment in a great neighborhood. Classic. Unique. Top Floor. Partial view of Navona Square. Interesting. Fascinating layout. Two Baths. Comfortable showers with plenty of hot water and comfortable beds. Two different spiral stairs. Clean and comfortable. We enjoyed it for three nights. Recommended.

Great location!!!

We loved the stay in Rome. So near the Piazza Navona which is just around the corner. There is a panini shop right next door and a wonderful little neighborhood restaurant right next to that. That became our go to. As for the apartment itself, it could use a bit of maintenance. The couch just has a throw over it for instance. Just a few things would spiff it up. One also needs to be aware that the spiral stairs going up to the other bed are quite tight and not that great for older people. Kids might think them fun. The bathrooms are fine. One more thing….when people mention the tiny elevator they aren’t kidding! One person really. You can use it for luggage and that helps a lot. One of us used the stairs and one of us used the elevator. We were happy to have one at all!! Good stay overall!

Lovely apartment in an excellent location

We loved our week-long stay here in February! It's a very clean and comfortable apartment and has everything you need. There are plenty of nice restaurants nearby, and it's super close to all the sights. 90% of the things we wanted to see were within walking distance of the apartment. There is a bus stop right across the street.The beds were very comfortable, and I imagine it was about as quiet as it gets for a city as busy as Rome. There is plenty of space to spread out in the apartment, and there are lots of drawers and side tables for your things. The area is very touristy, but there are lots of fun things to do nearby. You also don't have to go very far to find the more local spots. It's a beautiful building with a great view for people-watching, but anyone with mobility difficulties should be aware that it is not accessible. The building is very old, with narrow doorways and a very small elevator. The apartment is on the top floor, so there are a lot of stairs to climb in order to reach it by foot. However, we had no problems with it and enjoyed the workout the stairs provided, especially after dinner :)The process of checking in and out was very smooth, and the owner arranged for a car to take us to and from the airport. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and cannot recommend this property enough!

Great host and great location!

Communication with the hosts was amazing as they answered questions about the rental, transportation, and tours. Even with flight delay that led to transportation and check in changes they were quick to answer and very kind!The location is fantastic! We walked everywhere! If you look at Rick Steves Heart of Rome walking tour, you are located right in the heart of that! I would definitely chose this place again! Be aware that there is a small elevator, that only fits a suitcase and one person. We chose to always take the stair (especially after eating pasta!) It is on the 4th floor so there are a lot of stairs. If mobilitybis an issue, this may be difficult.

Cute apartment near Piazza Navonna

A cute spot near a big tourist area of Rome. About a 15 minute walk to the Vatican, 20 minutes to the Roman forum,, 15 minutes to shopping. Very communicative property owners, and responded quickly to messages. My only two complaints: 1) (would have been nice if they were more transparent about the tourist tax, which has to be paid in cash at the time of check-in. This was not listed on the property description, and is a city charge. 2) we kept turning down the thermostat to try to stop it from getting so hot, and the thermostat did not seem to do anything. This was OK because it was cold outside, but the apartment was getting a bit hot at night.

Family Italy Trip

Wonderful communication leading up to and during our stay. Excellent location….close to all the sites in Rome and surrounded by restaurants, shops, etc. We rented the property for two weeks and used it as a home-base as we traveled throughout Italy for one-night stays. The property was great for the 5 of us and we loved the location .

Very Nice Apartment

The apartment was great and in a really good location. Property management communicated well and the apartment was comfortable. This one is on the 4th floor. They have a very small elevator with a low weight restriction, but we typically took the stairs. Everything you could possibly want to do and see is within walking distance, which was convenient. Overall a great stay!

First Time in Rome

My daughter and I went to Italy for the first time and Rome was our first stop. The apartment is just as pictured. It is a little stark, but very comfortable. There are A LOT of stairs so be warned. The location is perfect for walking anywhere you want to go and we felt very safe. It has a tiny kitchen with a stove top only which made it difficult to cook any meals. There is a washer, but the dryer was not working. One negative is that they gave us each one towel and one wash cloth and one kitchen towel for our entire stay. We were there four nights. However, if you are like me and are there to explore the city and just need a comfortable, safe place to stay that is central to all the sites then this will be perfect for you.
