When I arrived at this Vrbo, the whole place smelled of mold, and longer I stayed there, the more I found just how dirty the place was. I do not believe the sheets were changed from previous guests, and the towels also had what I hope were only stains on them. The curtains and the bed in particular were disgusting. Still, it was a short, low budget trip, so I sucked it up.However, several weeks after my stay, the company that owns the property charged me an extra 207 (which is more than the cost of my whole stay) to my card that was on file, emailing me a receipt with no reason for the charge. I did no damage, and have before and after photos to prove the condition of the room. I tried to contact them about the charge to see if it was an honest mistake, and they stated that they did not see any charges on my account. I sent them a screenshot of the extra charge, and they have since completely ignored me. I am following up with my credit card company to dispute the charges, and hopefully they are able to work it out. I usually only write reviews for good experiences since I hate to negatively impact anyoneâs business, but this is by far the worst experience Iâve ever had at a hotel or Vrbo or any kind of rental property, and I feel I have to warn others.It is such a shame, the place could be a really cute set up if it was better taken care of and if the owners were actually honest.
