“The Old Rose and Crown is in a quiet location on the edge of the Lickey Hills surrounded by grass and trees. It is easy to reach from the M5. The room was well set out with comfortable bed, sofa and chairs, and en suite. The only downside was that no food is provided on site but there are a couple of pub / restaurants within 10 mins walk of the hotel. “I stay here most years for an event I attend nearby. The rooms are good value, clean and have everything I need. It is low hassle, quiet and I sleep well. Breakfast is very basic Fruit, pastry and cereal bar hung on the door the day before but suits me for an early start.”

“The spa, the outdoor pool and the fine dining restaurant were all great. They gave us boots and jackets for our walk, which was great. The informal restaurant was not that great. I paid £18 for a worse than average burger. Also, there were not many cosy places to sit around with a drink or coffee. There was only one room, which could easily get crowded. Luckily, we were there on a Monday in March, so this time it wasn't but I think the occupancy was only about 25-30%.”
