“Chalet dated but very clean and well equipt. Fabulous location and we sat outside on the decking frequently. Very close to a main trainline into London but we knew this as visiting friends having previously lived in Broxbourne. Didn't bother us. Sofa not comfortable to sit & enjoy TV. Very hard. Only other negative was the twin beds. Despite the mattress toppers, the springs in the mattresses have gone. They do need replacing. Sadly we had an uncomfortable few nights sleep! ”

“Nice place to stay but there are things that really need to improve! Jo reception so it means that everything is done by phone. Lock/Unlock the door, the prepayment you need to pay using a link , the main gate where the keys are inside of the apartment. So it was raining, left the apartment, went into the car, moved the car, unlock the gate… oh no wait it’s locked? Never happened before. So called the number, unlock the apartment, take the keys, back to main gate, open the gate manually under...

“B&B med egen trädgård i en lugn del av byn. Jag fick huset/stugan (sovrum, badrum, vardagsrum, kök) till mig själv och stor 'Continental-style' frukost serverat på altanen varje morgon. Varje kväll fanns det en ny ölsort i kylskåpet som intogs på gräsmattan i kvällssolen. Helt underbart. Värden (Les) är mycket trevlig och kan området väl - bara att fråga om man undrar över något (snabbaste vägen till jobbet, t.ex.). Rent och fint och snabb internet. Rekommenderas!”

“Conveniently located gues house close to the train station (for access to Stansted airport) and shops in town. Quiet area, comfortable room with very good wifi. Breakfast package was provided due to leaving early.”

“I stayed at the Jester while I was in the area for business. Bas and his chef Derek bent over backwards to accommodate during what was a very difficult time for them at the tail end of the second lockdown. With no other staff to support them, and making preparations for the reopening, they still found time to make sure I had access to evening meals and breakfast, despite the fact they had no reason to open the kitchen, just to serve me. “We received a very warm welcome and everything was just perfect. The room was spacious and a super king bed was very comfortable. There were tea and coffee making facilities in our room and even a small fridge if needed. A fan was in the room in case it was very hot. We had a good meal in a local pub recommended by David and it didn’t disappoint. The breakfast was delicious, just about anything you could wish for in a very nice dining room, we will certainly return next time we are in the area ”
