“Very cool place in the jungles of the big island. Feels like you’re one with nature. The host, Barbara, is so friendly and helpful. She makes lots of food for breakfast and there’s a great outdoor spot to eat and relax. Had a great time and would definitely stay there again.”

“I think this is the best kept secret of Hilo. We loved sitting on the porch looking at the gorgeous view of the large green yard with many fruit trees and huge palm trees in the distance. We walked through the backyard to a river with waterfalls. The hosts are available and helpful. The breakfasts full of exotic fruit were amazing. This stay alone was one of the highlights of our trip to HI. Guest books were full of grateful entries that went back for decades.”

“This place is unique, and the huge trees on the property are amazing. You can pick your own fruit and macadamia nuts even, and keep or eat them. The set up of the "common area" is a bit odd, with the main room being part of the hostesses house. The pictures of the beautiful kitchen that I saw in the listing was very misleading, as the kitchen is 100% hands off, guests are not allowed to touch it. Which was really weird and not welcoming, and odd that you can be right next to the hosts personal...

“Perfect area for exploring the island. You are out of the Honolulu traffic and can explore the north shore and west sides of the island with ease. The view is amazing, and the unit has all the necessities and more. The wonderful hosts even had breakfast items and a few beers waiting for us in the fridge. They are truly lovely people and their place is perfect as a home base.”

“Detta är mer en "bed and breakfast" än ett hotell. Ligger vackert men avsides. Rummet saknade luftkonditionering vilket i klimatet gjorde det för varmt på dagen även om det svalnade något på natten. Vänlig och tillmötesgående personal. God frukost.”

“We had the ocean view room on the second floor. It was newly renovated, with a beautiful private bathroom and beautiful wood work throughout. We were a bit spoiled when we were there, since there were no other guests on our floor during our stay. The kitchen and living room were spacious and well equipped, and Josh was always there to help us if we needed it. We would definitely stay here in the future”
