Birthday celebration
The resort was nice and clean, a very typical resort complex. Friendly staff i general and a few minutes walk to the beach. I would however not recommend this hotel if you are celebrating something special. Me and my husband were staying at this hotel for 3 nights to celebrate my 40th birthday. He had contacted the hotel in advance to arrange surprises to me. Flowers in the room on arrival- they responded that they did not have this service. Strange, they had flowers all over the hotel. Massage in room - did not respond at all to this wish. Strange since it says in the description of the room that this is possible. Champagne in the room - no reply. When we actually stayed there he ordered a bottle of champagne to be waiting on the room on my birthday for when we came back from the beach. When we got back there was no champagne, but cookies....? He went to the reception and they admitted they had missed this and came a while later with cava, not champagne as he had ordered. We had a wonderful time anyway but my husband was very disappointed that he had not received any help in making my day as special as he had wanted. later I learned that my best friend had also e-mailed the hotel to arrange something special but was met with the same attitude.

The hotel and staff are good. However, there is a lot of construction going on nearby, so the view and the capabiltiy to relax on the balcony is terrible. The bar at the pool is nice and the restaurant is good. No real view of the ocean, but you can walk to the beach very quickly. All in all a good experience, but not great as the reviews would suggest.

We were very happy with our stay at the Maui coast hotel. There was construction happening during the day but otherwise it was very quiet. They had live music by the pool nightly and we appreciated the two hot tubs and the restaurant on site

The aloha spirit through and through! We loved how conveniently walkable the location was but even more so the courtesy shuttle within 2 miles of the hotel. We never had to wait long and the drivers were friendly and knowledgeable. We arrived quite early so walked to Three’s bar and grill and visited the souvenir shops while we waited for our room. They were kind enough to let us check in early though. We went to the pool every day and could always find an umbrella and chaise lounges. We ate at Kihei caffe and enjoyed the bar poolside as well as having eaten at the restaurant’s patio. ABC store was a great walkable option for fresh deli options. Rooms were clean and quiet even though there was construction on the property we were never disturbed or annoyed by it. The gift shop at the hotel would have been a convenient option but it was closed for most of our stay because the shop owner was on vacation! Our first stay in Maui and I would absolutely return to the Maui Coast Hotel again!

I am a Hawaii resident that has stayed at this hotel since it opened I was put in a handicapped room without being made aware I have worked 90 hours this week and I am here to relax There are 2 hot tubs, my favorite, attached to pool, is Luke warm The other is hot! Yippee Very unhappy Have not complained to front desk… YET

The Maui Coast property was delightful. We enjoyed the Aloha vibe and great service from everyone in every department. From the moment we arrived to the very last moments before we departed, the front desk staff, the cleaning staff, the poolside bar and restaurant staff, the Caffé Kihei staff, and the shuttle driver. Our room was extremely comfortable. It has a lovely little outdoor sitting area with a terrific garden of native plants. The beds and bedding are top notch. The room has a wall safe, a large refrigerator, a microwave, coffee maker, nice glassware and mugs(not plastic!), great water pressure and the mirror has a heated center area so you can see even after a steaming hot bath or shower. The pool is great and there is a friendly bar with live music every night. It is a lively resort without being obnoxiously noisy or crowded. Additionally, the location is terrific if you like walking. We wanted a vacation without the trappings of a car and this is the perfect place. When we wanted to go a little farther than we wanted to walk, they offer shuttle services for up to three miles in a very clean, comfortable and high model minivan with a very kind driver. We would stay here again in a minute! There is construction next door on a new phase. They have done a nice job blocking it off. It was noisy at times, but not awful. It was never an issue for us. If you are picky and like to complain, don’t stay here! Everyone and everything here is wonderful!

Nice place and super friendly staff. However the pool area was not great and there was construction around. Only one place to eat and was closed most of the time at dinner time.

It's a wonderful gem tucked away from the street. It's very nice and comfortable. But still close to the beach and shops, restaurants etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a beautiful hotel and has lot's of amenities. It's very clean and the hotel and property are well maintained. I will be staying here on my next visit to Maui.

Maui Coast is a conveniently located hotel near the beach in Kihei. There is ongoing construction next to the property, but that did not interfere with our stay.

The Hotel is an older one, you can see that everywhere. Escalator is slow and full of noise, the room was big but old fashined styled, the toilet was installed far to deep, the shower was fixed in wall, so no flexibility. The breakfast in the hotel cafe is fast but without athmosphere. From the hotel you can walk to many restaurants and is also central to beach or if you want to drive over the island. The value for money is for me unfortunatly not the best. :(

This property is located right in the heart of Kihei and across from the beach. The pool hot tub and bar is really fun w/ love music and decent food. Rooms were clean and well maintained. The front desk ladies were helpful and pleasant. Great experience! ☺️
