Waterfront Cottage med pir på Pamlico River nära Bath | Belhaven NC



Pamlico Cottage, som byggdes 1956, ligger på en privat grusväg och handlar om avkoppling - tupplur på den avskärmade verandan, se efter delfiner, njuta av cocktails i den vintage rottingbaren, fiska, sola eller njuta av en spektakulär solnedgång från det stora däcket vid slutet på 100 fot bryggan - vad som lugnar din själ.

Bryggan är ett bra ställe att njuta av en dag på vattnet. Baddäck och stege ger enkel tillgång till sandstranden Pamlico River. Vattna ut så långt du vill, vattnet är vanligtvis cirka 3 till 4 meter djupt.

Olika flottörer och en kajak finns tillgängliga för din njutning under din vistelse på Pamlico Cottage. Fisk från slutet av piren eller släpp en linje längs bryggan och fånga dina egna krabbor!

Pamlico Cottage ligger mellan Bath och Belhaven i östra North Carolina.

Bath, som införlivades 1705, är NC: s äldsta stad och är känt för sina band till Edward Teach, berömd känd som Blackbeard piraten. Bath Village har många historiska hem samt den äldsta kyrkan i North Carolina, St. Thomas Episcopal Church som invigdes 1734. Bath är värd för en mängd olika evenemang under hela året och ligger bara 25 minuter från stugan.

Njut av Bayview Ferry, en gratis färjetur, över till Aurora och besök Aurora Fossil Museum. Färdfärjan över floden Pamlico tar cirka 30 minuter på ett vanligt schema.

Belhaven ligger 20 minuter från stugan och erbjuder en dags värd att shoppa plus bra matalternativ på Spoon River Artworks & Market, Tavern på Jack's Neck eller Fish Hooks Cafe.

Pamlico Cottage sover upp till 8 personer med 3 sovrum och 1 badrum. Samla 'runt det stora matbordet eller koppla av i vardagsrummet. En avskärmad veranda är på framsidan av stugan; ett utmärkt läge för att njuta av utsikten över vattnet och djurlivet. Blue Herons är besökare på Cottage Pier, ett par Ospreys tillsammans med en Bald Eagle jaktar regelbundet vid flodkanten och delfiner är ofta synliga förbi stugan.

Köksön har plats för 4, det stora matbordet har plats för 6-8, och bordet vetter mot floden i det främre vardagsrummet 4 platser. Det finns också en vintage rottingstång på den skärmad verandan!

Köket har en elektrisk spis / ugn, dubbelt handfat, kylskåp, mikrovågsugn, kaffebryggare, brödrost och en mängd små apparater, inklusive en glassmaskin. Tvätt hanteras av tvättmaskin och torktumlare.

En kolgrill finns tillgänglig.

What a gem! We (two adults and two kids, 10 & 14) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Pamlico Cottage. From enjoying our morning coffee on the pier to watching the dolphins swim by, the cottage is in a magical location. The kids loved kayaking and fishing. Mary was an exceptional communicator, making our whole experience seamless. The cottage is well supplied with everything you need, and we appreciated all the small touches like retro games, books, toiletries and a well stocked kitchen. Recommend stopping into the Trader Joe’s on the way in Greenville, otherwise Food Lion is your closest grocery store. If you genuinely want to get away from it all, this is the place for you!

Relaxing and beautiful

Came here to relax and take in the beautiful view! Cottage is just adorable and every spot has something to look at. Enjoyed time watching sunsets, tons of graceful jellyfish, birds, dolphin and the ever changing water. Even saw a bald eagle circling above. Cottage has everything you could possibly need. Spent a little time in Washington NC which was a cute and friendly little harbor. This is definitely a great place to unwind, decompress and really just chill.

We stayed for my daughter’s graduation from ECU. House is quirky but quaint. House fully stocked with everything you need! Host is responsive and extremely generous with toiletries and little extras. Would definitely stay there again

Quaint Cottage for a Fishing Trip

House is very interesting! It appears to be a custom, hand-built cottage. The interior is filled with nautical tchotchkes, a dozen oil lamps, many great books to read and games to play, and loads of charm.

Peaceful retreat

Great views

House was exactly as advertised. Has everything you could need & then some. Absolutely gorgeous views. Easy check in, property owner fast to respond (had questions before trip not during stay). Very quiet neighborhood, friendly neighbors. Great fishing from dock, saw dolphins daily.

Great semi-secluded get-away

very quiet rustic setting, great water views. very clean but (surprisingly) some of the floor boards spring-board when you step on them. The pier was great and a nice place to relax. There was no ladder to access the water but the pier was acceptable. We are retired, so water access was not needed anyway. Be careful getting in and out of the show-tub unit, there are no hand holds.

Amazing Place!

This was the most restful vacation i have ever had! I took my elerly mother for a week with just the 2 of us. I left ffor the military when i was 20 and have always lived far away- This week was about giving my mother and myself a week to just enjoy each others company and to just relax, reminisce, read and enjoy the views of the River This cottage was the ideal place to do so! Our host had the cottage stocked with many items you would not find at a typical VRBO. The pier and the view was amazing and the decor of the cottage was a perfect addtion! The town of Belhaven is a small town that has a Food Lion and several places to eat. If you are looking for a place to get away- just relax and be away from the craziness of life- i highly recommend!

Tundra Swans Weekend

We needed a convenient place to spend our weekend and see the migrating swans. The cottage was perfect - it has such charm, lovely unique furnishings and anything and everything you would need. The view is stunning and the host is wonderful. We want to come back - try another season. Serenity!

Beautiful View

Cozy cottage with comfortable beds and exceptional view. Quite windy while we were there, so no kayaking, but owner provides lots of board games and dvds. Unfortunately we never saw any eagles, pelicans, osprey or dolphin, but we had a great time with family.

This delightful cottage is the perfect retreat with a ideal location on the water, very gracious host, and everything and more you need for a relaxing easy getaway in bellhaven. We will be back for more fishing, kayaking, cooking and relaxing!

Second Time Here

Had a great time again, our goal was to fish, and relax, and it didn't disappoint! The weather was decent and the fishing was excellent, off the dock out back we caught several flounder and redfish. For those of you looking to fish, at the end of the dock on the left hand side there is a grass flat and some old dock debris about 30 yards off the dock (stand facing the left corner piling and cast, we caught almost all our fish in that area.

Beautiful Cottage

We had an awesome time. Mary was more than accommodating. The house is located in a picturesque location. We spent most of our time out on the dock. The kids loved swimming and fishing. I enjoyed wildlife watching and kayaking. The fossil museum in Aurora is well worth the trip. We will definitely be back in the future. I was very sad I had to checkout after our week was over. Hopefully one day we can stay in this area permanently.
