The location is just outside of the bustling town of Huntsville, and also a short drive to Arrowhead Prov Park which has more activities than you might imagine in the winter months....1 km skate trail, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and tobogganing....not to mention the outdoor firepit warming centres for extending your snow fun time.

Bedrooms all have ample room for your gear but also for moving around and spending time in.

Livingroom - is the centrepiece. It's a huge room that feels so calm and inviting. Uber-comfy seating, an impressive granite fireplace and smart tv draw the eye to the middle of the room, which the ceiling-high windows offer ever-changing views of the trees and lake.

Kitchen - fully updated with new appliances and equipped for all of your cooking needs.

Dining - choose the indoor private dining room with lots of windows and a barn door as an option, or move things outside to the full-sized dining table on the deck covered by a sun shade. The BBQ is right outside of the kitchen on the deck.

Outside you can move about from the large deck down to the firepit and the lakeside deck areas. Then make your way down to the beach and the large dock to make the most of this lakefront retreat.

**Please note that the local municipality collects a 4% MAT (Municipal Accommodation Tax) on the nightly rate of each property. This amount is already within the nightly rate on this listing, not a separate fee.**

Terri was very attentive, responsive, made accommodations for us, and was available to make a minor repair the same day we reported it.The rental is exactly as expected, had everything we needed. I would say the only area that could use improvement would be the cleaning. The property would seem far more attractive if it had been cleaned more carefully inside and especially outside (the deck, outside furniture, etc.)

The cottage is very nicely set up with everything that you could need. It’s very clean and well-maintained.It’s a little far from any stores and can give a sense that it’s very secluded. The only place to go for a walk is on the gravel road. We came there to go fishing and found that there were not a lot of bites at all. While we did catch a few, it was not a very good lake for a fishing trip, which was our purpose. If you are not going for fishing then the lake is beautiful for swimming, etc. the cottage provides paddle boards, kayak and canoes for fun and board games, cards, and they have access to Netflix. Everything was very good at this cottage, the only thing that I did not like was for the amount that we paid to stay here and the fees as well we were required to dispose of our own garbage. We stayed at the cottage for five days and accumulated four very large bags of garbage because we used disposable plates, etc. our car was extremely packed and I found it very difficult to take the garbage with us, which also leaked all over us and the car especially because the disposal area is 30 minutes down the highway back towards Toronto. I was aware that it would be the case before arriving at the cottage, but the reality of it did not set in until we were actually heading home with a full car and having to dispose of these large garbage bags ourselves. It would have been nice if with the fees and amount that we paid for the cottage if that was included with our stay.
