The Good: The cabin has potential for future stays, but unfortunately, our stay was marred by several maintenance and cleanliness issues that we feel need urgent attention for future guests. The main TV and pellet stove were fully functional and fun, and the Christmas Decorations inside were also a nice touch, but not enough to sway our rating.The Challenges:Amenities Mismanagement: We specifically confirmed Keurig K-Cup compatibility before arrival, but the “espresso” unit was an old Nespresso pod machine, and could only fit the original line of Nespresso pods. We were unable to use the K-cups coffee we brought, which was disappointing, considering we had several special flavors ready to try.Master Bathroom Issues: The shower was the biggest drawback. Despite a maintenance visit to unstick the hot water knob, the knobs remained difficult to close causing a constant slow leak. Also, the drain was slow (leading to standing water), and the overall cleanliness of the shower stall was subpar (especially the cheap shower liner). The toilet lid was also broken upon arrival.Furniture Condition: The main couch is in relatively poor shape; the faux leather is peeling (hidden by a blanket) and the recliner on the left side of the couch is broken.General Maintenance: We arrived to a nearly full outdoor trash can (about 85% full) which required us to press down smelly garbage. Verdict: We cannot fully recommend this stay for the issues we found vs the price point that we paid.
