Unsafe, unresponsive, and disappointing overall
We would not stay here again. The most serious issue was that the door lock did not work properly, making it impossible to securely lock the apartment. The only reason we were able to enter at check-in was because the lock opened without a code. The pre-arrival instructions referenced a lockbox and key, but there was no lockbox...just the faulty keypad.We contacted the host, and he came late that night to check. He agreed the lock was not functioning and said it would be repaired the next day...but it never was. We never heard back from him again. We didn’t feel safe sleeping in the unit or leaving our belongings during the day.On top of that, the apartment smelled awful, and the washcloths were basically old rags. The only positives were that the bed was reasonably comfortable and the location was convenient, but that doesn’t make up for the security issues and lack of communication.Renters should be able to expect basic safety and responsiveness, and unfortunately, this listing failed on both counts.
